"So many good features, such a pretty package" on by cleoz

Pros: Micro USB, 3.5mm headset jack, beautiful screen, dedicated media button (cube)

Cons: No support for @ymail.com addresses, had to go Google for easiest sync of contacts and mail. Expensive. Some Samsung UI elements.

Summary: I've been playing with my Behold II nonstop since I got it yesterday ($449.99 without contract). The screen is absolutely beautiful, and more responsive than the Cliq that I tried out over the weekend. (Sorry for comparing the two, but these are the only 2 Android phone's I've had time to use) The screen orientation changes faster, the camera is one of the best I've seen on a phone, music quality is decent over speaker and great with headphones. I've read a lot of reviews where people think that the cube feature is pointless, but I'm a fan. I'm always listening to music and showing off pics of my son, so having a dedicated media button is great for me.

As far as the Samsung UI, there's a lot of stuff there that could go. The Quicklist is pointless, I can get to the same apps using the slide out menu. The battery and signal bars aren't as pretty as on other Android phones, but they give the information that they're supposed to. I do like having the dedicated buttons along the bottom of every screen; don't have to switch screens to make a quick phone call or look up a number. Also, I like that Samsung has included network options at the top of the notification screen.

There are a few quirks with this phone, like every other phone IMO, but overall I think it's a winner.

Since you bought the phone sans contract, saying that the phone is expensive is a misnomer. Don't put other people off because you decided to buy the phone only. And even still, that's a cheap no-contract smartphone. An HTC TouchPro 2, for example, runs 600+.
