"Droid Charge - "Charging Backwards""0.5 starson by Brennschluss
Pros: 4G is fast, screen is clear and nice, size is not too bad, the phone is better at getting a signal in weak areas than my Incredible
Cons: The phone response and app functions are slower, GPS signal access is much slower and weaker than my Incredible, no light to for phone charging or charged, mechanical buttons slow down the the phone, but the absolute deal killer is how Verizon screwed Voi
Summary: This is how Verizon has made this phone really suck and why I activated my Incredible and am returning my Charge.
Verizon had Samsung program the phone so that when you try to get to your voice mail, either by a long press on 1 on the keypad or by tapping the home screen voice mail icon, you can only get another screen that gives you 3 buttons, one to get your voice mail, one to delete notifications or a last, largest button to subscribe to the $2.99/month visual voice mail. This screen comes up everytime. They've also eliminated programing your voice mail password, so now instead of being able to push one button and get voice mail, you have to push twice, avoid the ad for Verizon c**pware and then enter your password. All this, each time, every time. I've had Two previous Droids, neither of which required this bs. I just Reactivated my Incredible and it works like a charm. I contacted Verizon support who brought on Samsung. Samsung said that this "feature" was programmed at Verizon's request by Samsung and cannot be changed. I was also told that all of the Verizon 4G phones are polluted with this stupidity. There is no net gain in speed with 4G when you have to spend all this extra time getting your voice mail. Thanks a lot Verizon, the cr**pware kings!
