Pros Beautiful screen. Memory.
Cons Battery life and a lot of malfunctions (see summary).
Summary This phone is terrible. Two other people I know have this phone and they all do the same thing. After about 6 months the phone turns on and off by itself, menu pops up at random while you are trying to do other things. Now it has started having a delay in receiving text messages. I took the phone back and got another one about 4 months ago and now it is doing the same thing. I loved it, now I hate it. Went backward and got the HTC Evo 4G. Even though it is an older phone, it is much better.
Pros Beautiful screen, great pictures, good for viewing videos, playing games on this phone is great, you can customize the phone (makes it more personal) to fit your liking, Surfing the web is great and social apps were great as well. Call quality was ok
Cons 4G is not so good, and because Sprint's 4G services aren't as good, it would turn off or not be available in certain locations. The music playlist set up isn't as good as the iPhone, but still user friendly. Not a lot of cases to chose from
Summary This is my very first smart phone and I'm absolutely loving every moment with my phone. I love taking photos, so with such a great camera feature with LED flash, makes me happy. I customized my phone using the "GO Launcher," which makes me even more content with the phone customized to my liking. The call quality was good and had more trouble making call and listening to music. The notice indicator on the top right corner really helped me in noticing my missed calls, emails, message, etc. The big and gorgeous super AMOLED plus display makes it a great gaming machine as well as a good mini hands on TV, for viewing videos. I have no complaints and am satisfied with my Samsung Epic 4G Touch! <3
Pros Beautiful Screen, takes very nice pictures, Video is OK, although sound is so-so. Lots of memory make installing lots of apps easy, processor is more than adequate. Battery life is decent, even when on 4G network.
Cons GPS performance is HORRIBLE!! Phone frequently fails to get a lock, pretty much renders any GPS enabled programs USELESS. See the MULTIPLE pages of Posts on this issue in the Sprint Online forum for this phone. Also, Samsung email client it balky
Summary Hopefully they will fix the GPS issues that have plagued the Galaxy II S Epic 4G touch from Sprint - based upon my experience I would NEVER get another Samsung phone until it is PROVEN to solve issues (well documented in Sprint online forums - http://community.sprint.com/baw/community/buzzaboutwireless/phones-and-devices/samsung/samsung_epic_4g_touch?view=discussions&start=0) like these before it gets put on the market...currently this is the WORST phone I have ever owned as the things that depend on GPS simply do not reliably work, if at all....
This phone is a classic example of a product that was rushed to market (in time for Xmas 2011) that was not truly "finished" with problems debugged and issues thought out. Now Samsung and Sprint try to push the blame off on each other without providing a fix and the user suffers with a 2 year contract horse collar....
Pros Big screen, fast downloads, lots of room for apps...great reception
Cons Original battery that came with the phone was a juice monger...replaced today, new battery working well so far...
Summary Great phone for talking, web surfing, texting, and social venue surfing...
