Needs to be rebooted 2 or 3 times a day or texts don't workSummary: I was in the market for a new phone after having a lot of problems recently with my BlackBerry so I decided to research which company to go with and which phone to buy. I decided on T-Mobile because they had a cheap prepaid plan, so I had to decide which T-Mobile phone to get. After doing extensive research I chose the Samsung Exhibit II based off of numerous reviews.
I like the phone okay but there are just a couple things I don't like about it. The most annoying is the horrible battery life. I cannot go 4 hours without having to put it on my charger. The battery drains even when there are no apps running in the background and I'm not doing anything with it. I had to buy 2 additional chargers to make sure I had one in different places so I can keep my phone charged.
The one thing this smartphone doesn't do well is make phone calls. Dialing is difficult and there is usually a delay between the time I hit "call" and the time the phone actually starts making the calls. I find myself repeatedly mashing the same button over and over again to get one of the digits to show up in the phone number.
I also need to "power cycle" the phone throughout the day because something will stop working. For example I will go to send a text message and it will say "message failed." So I have to power cycle so the phone and all of its features are working again. I have to do this at least twice a day which is super annoying.
Compared to the other phones in the market, the Samsung Exhibit II is probably one of the best, but is not THE best. I don't think it is work $200 or $250, so it is overpriced. Based on the reviews I expected this phone to be a 9 out of 10, instead it's a 6.5 out of 10. Not bad but definitely not as good as I expected it to be.
