Summary: When I bought the phone, the sales person gave it to me after the SIM card was installed to start playing with it and before he finished my bill I had already my phone fully populated with more contacts I ever had in phone, from Windows Live, Facebook and Linkedin, along with more info that I ever had, including birthdays, and with their news, plus all my photo albums were on the phone. Fully personalized before I left the store, amazing. The interface is inviting to exploration and for glance check outs at the same time. You can quickly see if there is anything new, it won't show unread messages, just the number of messages that came in since the last time you checked. You can do many things from the lock screen: change music, put it in vibration, see next appointment, etc. Applications link to each other seamlessly for a fast fluid servicing of whatever you wanted, plus convenient extra info. For instance, search for movies (use voice search, is pretty accurate), and instead of just taking you to a browser, it will take you to a quick overview of local, web and news about your seach, which comes up much faster than opening a browser. Then you can check showtimes, theaters, and when you click on the theater address, which is made into a link by Smart Sense technology, you are taken to the maps application, and you can see with just one click nearby restaurants, reviews, hours of operations, etc. It invites you to explore and do more things more efficiently. You would need copy and paste and going in an out of several apps to get the same information in other phones. The interface is more intuitive than other phones, instead of an icon grid which will be easy to understand if you know the apps and what they do, you get the tiles which are task based: people, pictures, music, etc. and related app integrate within, such as the lyrics app, which will integrate into your music listening hub. The user interface is not very photogenic, though, if you see it in photos you won't get it. You must see it in action and populated with your own data to really understand its beauty. Your data and your photos make the UI. The quality of the games is incredible. It took Apple years to get this quality and after two years of Android, they don't have big name quality games like WP7 has. They touch keyboard is excellent and the predictions are accurate, it will correct most common mistakes and the dictionary is very good, it even corrects and capitalizes names, it makes my writing more proper and better than when I type in my desktop. I use the phone for work and for fun and this phone has the best combination of both. I am tech savvy but also appreciate something that is easy to use. I used to take my netbook everywhere, but since I have my Windows Phone, I leave the netbook at home, because my phone opens up apps faster and gives me the information, productivity and entertaining I want. And finally, is beautiful and fresh, I've received many compliments from Android and iPhone users about how gorgeous the UI looks and how fast it is. This is a very polished product, and with the automatic upgrades it can only get better.
