"NOT up to PAR"
2.0 starson by raju137Pros: Sleek.
Option for Non-Fan-BoyCons: Tiles take up too much space requiring frequent panning.
No front facing Cam...Standard these days, video chat is a must. MS once again fell asleep at the wheel, and will play catch up.Summary: Wait for the 2.0 version of the phone.

So when comparing every single actively used smartphone on the market most have front facing? Because I cannot even think of a handful of them that do. Please go back home and stay there, until you are ready to buy the product then review it.
I would rather wait for your appropriately timed review 2.0. -
The majority of user who have front facing cameras on their device hardly use them. While i would like to have on on my Focus, it's more of a gimmick than a necessity. Also, most people only need access to a select amount of tiles/apps, which they would put on their start screen, while leaving hardly used apps a swipe or two away on the list screen.
And the Focus has 512mb of RAM, which was confirmed shortly before the November 8 launch. -
The fact that this review was written before the phone actually came out makes it completely invalid. Giving this phone a bad review even though you haven't seen it is low. I own the phone, and I can tell you that it is the best phone I have ever had, including the iPhone 4.

rothemba, I'm fairly certain that the Focus does NOT have a front facing camera. Some previews falsely mention that it does. It does have a light/proximity sensor in front that looks like a camera, but it's just to auto dim the screen or prevent dialing in your pocket.
However, I don't think I'd use the front facing camera anyway. Yeah, it would be better to have it than not have it, but video chat is definitely not a must. If certain apps use it (outside of video chat), then it would be handy to have ... but it's not something I'd need.
My biggest complaint is the 256MB of RAM. The Focus is supposed to be one of the quickest regardless of the RAM, but my concern is for the future where certain apps/games might need the extra RAM. However, it still seems like the best WP7 device of the three on AT&T. -
The Samsung Focus HAS a front facing camera.

How is a front facing camera and video chat a must? When am I going to want to use that? I rarely ever use video chat on my own computer at home let alone when I'm running around the city with my cell phone. Just cause Apple says so doesn't mean it's a must in your life. Your tiles argument is valid and a lot of people prefer multiple home screens like on Android but I don't mind the way it's laid out at all. I don't use that many apps in the first place on my Palm so I don't need a huge home screen. Zune, XBLA, Office, and Outlook integration I think are worth it alone. And with push updates you don't have to go out and buy a new phone or do anything so why even bother waiting for the next version??
