"Wow! On this phone WP7 soars." on by Liftline

Pros: WP7 is now simply the best mobile OS, and this phone shows why. Smooth, intuitive user interface; great camera; brilliant, sharp display; reliable connectivity. Really works the way a mobile device should. The apps work very well and look terrific.

Cons: Yep,backplane seems a little fragile. Get a good protector. Not as many apps as iOS, of course, but its getting there. I cant understand why more people aren't switching to WP7 from the overpriced, over-rated iPhones...but that's a marketing issue.

Summary: I had the original Focus, and loved it. This is a nice step up from an already excellent smartphone. Windows Phone 7 is really the best mobile OS available -- by far. Even Apple fanbois and girlz should give this a try.

"This is an awesome phone!! but I got an HTC Titan" on by FBENDOTTI

Pros: Great OS, Fast, Finally a front facing camera. Tango works great!
Great Display!!Zune Pass. Unlimited Music for ten dollars a month!! No more Itunes :)

Cons: Coulde be better built, (Plastic back seems flimsy)
Could use some more apps. Words with Friends and some banking apps I miss from my Iphone. I also miss the memory card uograde that my old focus had.

Summary: I preiously owned an Iphone 3GS, and the Iphone 4 or 4S, did not seen to be a significant improvement. I also owned an HTC EVO, and although it was customizable, it was to buggy. My very last phone a first generation Samsung Focus without the Mango upgrade. Unforunately, I accidentally smashed the screen and had to replace it. Otherwise, I would still be using it because it was great. I ended up getting an HTC Titan just because it seemed to be built better. The overall experience was very similar to the Focus S that I tested.

"Great phone! Needs a little more support..." on by SethusMaximus13

    Pros: -Beautiful Design
-Very Thin and Lightweight, but doesn't feel cheap
    -Great screen with Vibrant Color
-Impressive Performance; Slower CPU yet it outperforms Galaxy SII
-Best Word & Excel Editing of ANY Mobile Devices out there (including all tablets)

Cons: -Windows Marketplace still missing some standard Apps
-ONLY IN LOW LIGHT SITUATIONS - Camera Performance is not great (either flash creates awkwardly bright photos or no flash creates grainy photos); Not a hardware problem, same camera as Galaxy SII

Summary: In my opinion, the Focus S is the best Mango phone out there. The power, aesthetics and just overall design of the Focus S really make WP7.5 an incredible experience for anyone who enjoys social networking, entertainment, and functionality.
I highly recommend this phone to anyone who wants the experience of a premium phone combined with a new and unique interface that truly makes iOS and Android feel clunky and dated.
Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich could be a delicious alternative to Mango that only time will tell, but as of right now, I can say without a doubt that Mango is the most pleasing mobile OS out there.

"Great successor to the original!" on by Titan427m

    Pros: Light weight
    Slim
    Large Screen
    Beautiful display (colors and contrast)
    4G
    Smooth and responsive interface
    Camera quality
    Battery life
    Call quality
    Front-facing camera

Cons: The only thing, which is only a con when compared to the predecessor: The speaker isn't as loud or as clear as the one equipped on the original Focus.

Summary: Light weight "cheap" design: Lets use a little common sense. The lighter your cell phone is, the fewer the pounds per square inch will be when it is dropped. This is why the original focus could be dropped time and time again without causing one to have a heart attack every time. Such is even more true with this even lighter design. So, to say that this design is "cheap" or "lacks durability" is a nonsensical. Durability is proven through longevity. Last time I check, the device, which has been hailed as having a "quality" and "durable" design, was unable to survive even the most minor of drops - lest you equip it with a gaudy chunk of rubber and plastic, essentially making it into an expensive doorstop.

This phone is well-made and, so far, has been able to survive numerous drops and bumps - without any kind of case or screen protector.

Besides that, the device is incredibly fast. the interface is smooth and quick. The animations are fluid and round out the OS very well. And the screen is beautiful! the blue tint that everyone talks about is negligible. The colors are rich and vivid and the overall screen size is about perfect (imo).

"It's really that good" on by aic3x

    Pros: Sleek design
Smooth Mango Windows Phone 7.5 OS
    Brilliant display
Zune music service (lots of downloadable and streaming content available)

Cons: No expandable memory. I miss my 32 GB from my original Focus.
Flimsy battery cover (functional, but detracts from what appears to be a well designed phone).

Summary: We have other mobile devices that we use for app development and this phone / OS is a much more attractive platform IMO than any the other mobile device options.

It's a great device I just wish Microsoft would come up with some better advertising to speak to the masses about what's available from their current mobile offering.
