Pros Price is good and also AIO network. Young people in the store were very helpful. Good Connection with ATT. Screen is bright and clear and small enough to put in a pocket. Voice to text is good but difficult to set up. Sound quality is good.
Cons Very hard to learn how to operate everything. You have to download the instructions, almost 200 pages. Answering a call or checking voice mail can be difficult. Don't think the battery lasts as long as they advertize.
Summary I was with Sprint and saw AIO's promotion. With the price and for what they were offering thought it was a good deal and it is in a way. I considered getting their flip phone but the screen is very small and very hard to see the characters. Wish they would offer a better flip phone. I am 65 years old and had a flip phone for years which was very easy to operate except for texting. My kids would rather text than talk so I decided to switch. It seems obvious to me that Samsung did not design this phone for us older people. Touching things on the screen is very challenging. They could have made the "apps" bigger. There also seems to be a lack of common sense in the way the phone is set up. If you want to check a voice message you have to go through a number of confusing steps to get to it. No easy direct link to it on the home page. Flips phones are easy in this regard and I see no reason why Samsung couldn't have made it just as easy with this phone. When there is an incoming call you have to "swipe" the screen with your finger in just the right direction and if you are not careful you can accidentally reject the call. This is not good. And if you want to answer a call you have to swipe just right too. You have to be careful also when checking recent calls. I once checked the recent call list and made the mistake of not going back to the home screen before putting it my pocket. Well, somehow it dialed one of the numbers on the list and the person it dialed could hear everything I was saying to someone I was talking with. It has a nice camera but here too it is difficult to know how to operate it. Hard to figure out how to manage pictures. I was able to figure out how to download an "app" that is supposed to manage the pictures, however there is no way I could find to delete a picture once it was loaded to the camera. Here again something that should be so basic is not there. On the home screen is a clock and a temperature reading. This is great if you are like me and use your phone for checking time. I was excited about the temperature reading but unfortunately it is never correct. It would be great if it worked. Setting up the WiFi takes some time to figure out but is great to check out news and weather if you are on the go somewhere. I thought this phone had a GPS feature and it still might be there somewhere but again, very difficult to find. They should have put a link to it on the home page or at least a link(app) on the apps page. You can add a screen to the home page but can't see how to delete one once another page is added. This seems to be a common problem throughout using this phone. Creating something is one thing but trying to figure out how to delete it is difficult. Using the internet feature is also very difficult. They didn't make it simple like using a regular computer. Very hard to know how to bookmark a page for further reference. Very stressful! If you want a complete list of instructions for the phone, you have to download them from the internet. There are almost 200 pages. There are a lot of things that may not be applicable to someone who just wants the basics and it can be hard to figure out where to find those. I believe that since this phone is on the lower end of the price range, I would think that it is supposed to be geared towards those who just want basic things so I wish they would have made it simpler to operate especially for those of us seniors making a switch from the flip phones. I really think that with some changes Samsung could make this a very attractive phone for those of us who just want an easy phone to use.
