"HOLD MY NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTE!!"
5.0 starson by 3asabybeastPros: Long-time iphone user here, and now I realize how STUPID I was. I'm blessed to start my experience with Jelly Bean, one of the best OS's ever created on a phone. See below for pros
Cons: -Afraid it would get stolen
See more below:Summary: This phone's got it all. To be honest, when I now compare my iphone 4 with this phone, I realize how much I was missing out. Screen is AMAZING, Camera is great when there's enough lighting (decent in low light but not great), S-pen is EXTREMELY useful (air view, cutting an image, print screen, many many others!) And google maps - oh google maps!!! How much love do I have for thee?? Imagine a turn by turn navigation for GOOGLE MAPS!!! The best map application on the planet just became BEASTLY!!
Let me list some pros off the top of my head:
-S Pen is truly amazing
-Battery life is LONG. Easily lasts a WHOLE DAY on HEAVY USAGE.
-Sound quality is great.
-Extremely smooth and fast, navigating through the screens is tremendous!
-Extremely flexible (widgets, customizable) - just beats the iphone in every aspect on OS flexibility.
-Light for its size - whoever says this is a heavy device is a moron. This phone is as thin as the iphone 4 even though it's JAMMED with an amazing battery.
-Androooooooooooooooiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid!!
-Fits in my pocket - at first I was afraid this thing will be too big; it's not. Unless you wear skinny jeans that stop the blood circulation in your legs you should be fine.
-5.55 inch screen is just too good. Easy to read eveything, easier on the eyes, a true masterpiece!
-Replaceable battery, Micro-SD slot!!! Add all the movies and pictures you want!!
Cons:
-S-voice needs improvement. Doesn't recognize a 'contact' unless spelled correctly. So if I say 'Call Mohammad' and it detects 'Call Mohamed', it says the contact doesn't exist instead of finding the closest match...
-Cover is flimsy when taken off, but GREAT when it's on the phone. This shouldn't really be a con, but i'll include it just to be fair.
-Volume rocker and power buttons seem a little flimsy. I don 't know why, sometimes i press them and the whole button seems to be moving left and right. Not a big deal, they work well, but it's something to keep in mind.
-Picture quality in low light: Not that great, can't lie there. I think the iphone does better with overall picture quality, although the two are close in well-lighted areas.
-Smoothness when not in home screens/applications screens: For example, when viewing a PDF, the screen is not as smooth as scrolling around in the home screen. A LITTLE choppy. Same as when browing email, browsers, etc.
Recap: Trust me when I say this is the best device out there. I love so many things about it, and the Cons are very minor. Every time i look at the iphone 4, I start laughing at myself. I'm pretty sure I lost some eye sight trying to view that small 3.5 inch screen.
You know what they say about people with big phones.... ;)

Nice review! I also sold my Iphone 4s and bought Note II. Best decision i've made so far with phones! Screen size is just a positive thing for me.

Great post . . . got mine the day after it hit the Sprint Store!
NOTHING like it - Period! -
excellent review. I was concerned about the pocket thing as well. Glad to know it is not an issue.

No worries...Thieves will go for iPhones first- they are not aware that the Note 2 is better!

I'm holding off until close to xmas to get it, but with this never ending outstanding review, I'm getting it after work. I've waited it for it to come to Verizon & my patience has paid off & even get the top of all Smartphone :) (of course all subjective) Never liked the iPhone, so that's not an issue & I would not trade a droid platform for an iPhone (just a personal preference)
