Pros 1.5ghz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Processor
2 GB of RAM
4.8" HD Super AMOLED Display
Cons Slightly Dim display
S Voice needs work
Verizon is last to get Jelly Bean update
Summary Overall this phone is very solid. I came from the Droid Razr M which replaced my HTC Thunderbolt. After 2 months decided to sell it and get the Galaxy S3 and so far have not looked back.Jelly Bean was released today 12/14/12 and improved almost everything. The phone has pretty much zero lag now (thanks to "project butter", extra filters for the camera, Google Now, improved S Voice, and much more.
The design of the phone is stunning. Samsung was able to pack a large beautiful screen into a compact, ultra thin device. I'm a guy that wears fitted jeans and this phone has no problem slipping in and out of my jeans, nor do i even notice it is really there thanks to the thin profile. The phone has a nice glossy look to it (i have the pebble blue GS3). For some, the hard button at the bottom of the phone is a hit or miss for people. Personally i like it considering it has multiple functions. The phone however does have somewhat of a plastic feel to it, and without a case, the back cover can scratch easily. Overall this phone has a very solid and durable feel even with the plastic build, and with the rounded smooth edges, this phone is very comfortable to hold even with its size.
Like everyone else says, this phone is a feature filled phone. With NFC, S beam, motion gestures, pop-up play, and the many other customizable features that come along with android, this phone is one of the best when it comes to what you can do with your phone. And although many have been hating on the S Voice function, it is still pretty handy and usually does what i need it to do... Well... Most of the time. I'm not saying it doesn't need improvements because compared to Siri, it definitely does. And once Verizon finally approves of their GS3 Jelly Bean update, Google Now will only make it better.
With its blazing fast 1.5ghz dual core qualcomm snapdragon S4 processor, generous 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage (expandable memory for additional 62GB), lightning fast 4G LTE, 8mp camera, 1080p HD Video Recording, Massive 4.8" HD Super AMOLED Display, this phone talks the talk, and walks the walk. This phone seems to make multitasking a breeze, entertainment a blast, and capturing photos for those kodak moments seamless. Although Samsung has tuned its UI down, i feel like they could tune it down a little further. This phone is extremely fast, but i did face some hiccups every now and then with Touchwiz. And with a lack of the Jelly Bean update, i can't help but feel like Verizons version of the GS3 is being held back on its full capabilities.
This phone is a well crafted, feature packed, blazing fast phone. Phones like the Galaxy S3 are what defines this day and ages smartphones as our generations mobile computers.

Pros Feel, Speed, Feature, Customization,Build, app support to do many different things with the phones and allows you to customize the phone to your liking and needs.
Cons A bit big if you purchase a super protective case (otterbox), Original keyboard takes a bit of getting used to if you are coming from an iphone.
Summary The fit and finish of the phone is amazing. If you have small hands I would not get a big case for this phone. Yeah the plastic feel and finish feels a bit weird and cheap at first but the phone is definitely top notch. The build of the phone feels like it will break if dropped. I put a screen protector as I'm not about to test the Gorilla glass from scratches.
Not sure about the battery, but I've always had to recharge by the end of the night. But then again I'm always on my phone. So I won't get too far in to this. The battery is removal, which is great. I saw that one of the reviewers are complaining about the cover was hard to remove, but I haven't had any problems with it you just need to be patient.
The screen is amazingly bright in a room. Though once it hits the sun it is a bit questionable. When you're outside the phone gets a bit dark so you have to put the brightness up to 100% as soon as you decide to use the phone in sunlight.
The phone is amazingly fast and I've been able to run multiple apps with no problems. Some apps do crash but that happens. The widget and pages are a big step up coming from an iPhone. I also love the fact that you are able to watch a video while multi-tasking. which helps out a lot if you want to read a text or look at an email and not want to restart the video application.
Also I've had better luck with the S Voice understanding me than I've had with Siri.
Pros screen, love ice cream sandwich, fast,
Cons battery was ok.. not great . i dropped my bionic fifty times and never cracked it .... the samsung less than a month was cracked.. s voice hard to use . gps signal not as good as my motorola bionic
Summary I love the phone when i can get a signal. signal is good in most areas I travel a lot and in some areas the signal is not the best quality in Wisconsin. The motorola bionic that I had was much better at getting a signal everywhere i go. I had to cancel my mobile hotspot because i cannot use it at my home and the bionic I could. last night I drove from Fort Collins to Loveland Colorado and lost the gps signal 8 times. not knowing the area it was frustrating. if the motorola bionic had ice cream sandwich i would never got this phone. I will be purchasing a motorola razr maxx hd ..
Pros 1. Screen is incredible;
2. Super fast;
3. Ergonomic and fits in pocket.
4. Light weight, good battery life.
5. Camera / Video
Cons 1. S Voice
2. Competing duplicate functions
Summary I previously had an HTC Incredible (1st version). I needed to upgrade to beat the 6/28 unlimited data deadline so had to go with this phone instead of the Incredible 4g. I was worried about the size as I prefer something that will fit in my pocket. After one week, I can say this phone has met all of my expectations and more. I have no plans to switch back to HTC.
The phone is big but it is also flat and light weight. It is very ergonomic/fits in your hand nicely. It also fits in a front jean pocket without any issues.
The screen wows! I have already gotten several comments about how nice the screen is. I could easily watch a movie or tv on this screen - it is big, bright, crisp and plays video flawlessly. I have netflix, hbo go and some other streaming services loaded and they all work like a charm. There are no choppy buffering interruptions. I did initially notice the dimness but I turned off the automatic brightness function and set the level to my taste. I am not sure how the CNET reviewer missed this function - the top brightness level is off the chart.
I have had no battery issues at all. I took a good amount of video and then watch some sports replays and the battery seemed fine. I also have my brightness up and had heavy use of photo, email, text...still had 1/3 batter by the end of the day. I charge each night so not an issue for my usage.
The camera and video take nice crisp shots. You can take burst shots and get off a bunch of high quality pictures pretty quickly. Its not going to replace a high quality camera but this 8megapixel camera crushes the 8megapixel on my HTC Incredible 1 and on my wife's Apple 4S.
Speaking of 4S, this phone makes the Apple phones seem like slow clunky dinosaurs. I know the 4S is over 8 months old but the tech jump seems more like 2 years. Way faster, more reliable, better battery, better camera, etc..
For downsides, the S voice seems sorta pointless but I have not used it much. It does understand the navigate command well and thats about the only I would use. I also hope I dont ever drop this phone. I am not about to add a case on to its size and have no idea how it will hold up to a cement drop.
The final con is with all of the built in clutter. It seems Google, Samsung and Verizon are all loading competing apps that do the same thing. I still havent played with all of the functions and icons but a lot seem duplicative - its a race to get the fees from selling content - which this phone so beautifully displays.
Pros Huge screen but not weight.
Fast smooth responsive screen.
Unique functions like face unlock and tap to jump to top of email
HD Video looks great even at 46"
Android 4.X (ICS) has some great shortcuts and features.
Cons Screen has scratched already
S Voice doesn't even respond well to "Hi Galaxy"
Battery life is not as long as I was hoping--just enough for a full day.
Screen can be a bit dimmer than I like.
No clue if it will get Jelly Bean at all from Verizon.
Summary This is a great phone and has endangered my venerable iPhone 3GS as the phone I will upgrade to for my personal use as well. I'm using this phone as my work phone but I could easily see it becoming my full-time phone because it's so much fun to use and the screen is so easy on my eyes.
