  • "Horrible Google Samsung Phone"
    on by jagreen78

    Pros Slide out keyboard

Cons This phone is horrible. Performance suks, on board memory suks, I had to replace the 2gb sd card twice b/c the phone kept freezing for NO reason and that was the only thing tech support could figure out!

Summary Don't buy this worthless phone, in 3 years I've found that if you're not giving these phone manufacturers $400 then don't complain about the paper weight you just bought for anything less! The only phone samsung makes worth a ish is the galaxy!

  • "Ok phone with a fatal flaw"
    on by ficklephone

    Pros small, full keyboard

Cons So little internal memory it's barely functional.

Summary I'm a wannabe tech geek, but I just don't have enough money to blow to be a proper one. I got this phone as a replacement for my Motorola Cliq XT, which was so horrifyingly bad I had to get a replacement before upgrade time, so I took what they would give me at a good price, which was this phone.

Now, I know this is basic android phone, meant for teenage texters (of which I am not one). But it was running a nice version of android, it's pretty fast, responsive, love the full keyboard. Swype works way better on this than it did on my cliq. I really wouldn't have a bad thing to say about this phone except one thing which makes it nearly worthless.

Pretty much any app you download that you can't move to your SD card (for me that's Words with Friends) puts this phones internal memory over the top. I get low internal memory warnings nearly EVERY. DAY. I even rooted this phone so that I could delete some of the bloatware. Didn't really help. I can't have both Words with Friends and the Android Facebook app on my phone at the same time, which seems so ridiculous!

Yes, I know this is a baseline phone, but if it is running android, it should be prepared for people to have multiple apps.

On a side note: does anyone know why Words with Friends wasn't written so it could move to SD?

  • "Good entry level android phone for text junkies"
    on by Triberius

Pros Keypad, excellent display, camera flash

Cons processor underpowered for "power users"

Summary good phone for young text junkies that won't put their parents out a ton of money.

  • "Im in love!!! BUT not with the battery!"
    on by Yheti

Pros Nice and compact size, yet very sturdy feel to it. The slide open keyboard is a joy once you get used to it... its keys are a tad off from what I'm used to but they are fast and accurate. Seems fast to me and have yet to see an issues

Cons This is my first SMART Phone, so maybe its just me but I found it kinda hard to figure out how to use this phone. BIG NEGATIVE: The owners manual leaves a LOT to be desired... It tells you almost nothing and you need to learn its use pretty much on your o

Summary Overall I am VERY satisfied with this purchase... little rough on learning it in "Blind Mode" due to poor owners manual but I'm learning as I go... TMbile guys at my retail outlet are very cool, they are always willing to take the time when I drop in to explain stuff I find and can't quite understand. KUDOS to the staff! Hope they are offered there jobs to stay the same when the transition to ATT goes through.
