Pros Accelerometer, proximity sensor, auto brightness, 5mp camera/camcorder, HDMI Out, multi-language, capacitive touch screen, better icons, wallpaper behind the menus, duel-core processor, and multi-tasking capabe...just to name some of the improvements
Cons 1 1/2 minutes to boot up ( compared to the originals 30 seconds ), No blinking l.e.d for missed texts ( like the original ) slower app launches, less apps, and no multi-touch on the capacitive touch screen.
Summary It's pretty cool to be able to swipe between text, email/news headings, calendar events, without actually opening the apps, but this phone needs support...something Samsung and Sprint are purposely ignoring. Sprint reps won't even acknowledge the Instinct forum if that goes to show what support us owners are getting. Sprint's very own WebServicesApp which has CNN headings and stories have been reduced to a heading and instead of a story for the article, another heading. A problem started back in December of 09, and has steadily gotten worse. All the applications open slowly. Watching movies through the HDMI out on the phone is Awesome, unless you get a call or text message, then you'll have to start over because the phone can't remember to PAUSE. Airplane mode is fine, but then you miss all your text or calls. NO App made for the original Instinct is compatible with the Instinct HD, so that means no Pandora Radio, No Loopt, and whatever apps we did manage to get for the original Instinct aren't compatible and nobody is going the extra mile to help us in our quest for compatibility. Bottom line, if you liked the original Instinct phone, this phone has twice the power as the original, at half the speed. The screen is brighter, and everything loads slower. If your hoping for any apps, this phone and it's new Titan ( whatever that is ) platform are only going to disappoint you. That being said, Opera Mobile is a blessing compared to the originals Obigo browser, but that probably means we won't see the new Opera Mobile 10 which is 70% faster than the Opera Mobile 9..7 we have now, because nobody Cares enough to bless us owners with anything. Can't download ringers because they messed up the browser and now instead of installing, they just play the file. Saving files only goes to the phone ( pics, movies, videos ) to a folder that cannot be found using the phone. Again, nobody cares.
That's the problem with big companies lately, Hurry and push out the next new thing, fix the battery issue, and ignore any feedback because we have the next big thing to push down everybody's throat.
Samsung should step up and fix what they can, Sprint should do the same.
Customer service may have gotten better, but product support is another story.
Pros Smoother interface than orig Instinct. 5MP camera/HD camcorder! Redesign is great. Accelerometer! Wi-Fi connectivity! 4GB microSD card included! Basically most of the features that the iPhone has, but better. AND on a much better network that AT&T.
Cons I would honestly only change one thing about this phone: The microSD card is a pain to get to...Remove the rear cover, remove the battery, then you can get to the microSD card.
Summary Sprint and Samsung have finally made a phone comparable to the iPhone. In fact, I feel the Instinct HD blows the iPhone out of the water. This phone has made me keep my loyalty to Sprint. I've been with them for 7 years and I was seriously entertaining the idea of switching to AT&T just to get the iPhone. Now I don't have to.
This does everything the iPhone can do and more. I'll admit, I was more than a little disappointed with the original Instinct and the S30, but this one definitely meets my expectations plus some.
The 5MP camera (with flash) and the HD camcorder functions are amazing. Having the accelerometer is a HUGE step in the right direction, as well is the Wi-Fi capability.
Simply put, the Instinct HD is the perfect iPhone killer!
Pros This phone has just about everything you would want in a cell phone including a capacitive screen, outstanding camera, video performance, and features. Also loud speaker phone and great call quality.
Cons Battery is the only thing in question with this phone. I charge it all night and it still reads 80%? It might need a update. I make it through the whole day but the first 30% goes really quick.
Summary This phone has everything you would want in a cell phone. Features are packed and quality is superior.
Pros features are really nice
Cons battery battery batery
Summary if i did not have it
i would have waited till batt was fixed
Pros It was better than my old phone.
Summary I did like the phone because it was better than my old phone. Other than that it would freeze up for no reason. The app store had nothing.
