Pros -Not easily scratched
-small & compact
-good picture taking quality
-great battery life
Cons -No effects on camera
-the keyboard is a little too small
-mp3 player takes time to load
Summary I wanted a phone that was sleek, & savvy, but not quite a "smart phone" since i never really do anything with it besides the basic talk, text, surf, email, & mp3 player. This phone exceeds the requirements. I was hectic buying this phone at first reading most of the negative comments about it, but i have yet to expierence them. I am a little rough on phones, and drop them alot, not a scratch on it yet, nor is it glitching.
Battery life is good, i mostly use my phone as an mp3/texting machine, so if its fully charged i can get through hours of listening to music and texting before the battery completely dies. However the more songs you have on your phone the longer it takes to load. The GPS feature is helpful whenever i do decide to use it.
Havent expierenced any droppped calls or anything yet.
Internet is a breeze to use on the phone. I also love the fact that after like a minute the phone screen locks which keeps from excessive amounts of butt dialing (which i do often).
I don't like the fact theres no zoom or any affects on the camera, and the keyboard is a little close together;
but all in all it's a great phone.

Pros That navigation and the music app is a plus for me, I use it in my car. Battery has never died completely on me. I have actually gone without charging it. Touch screen is good and responsive, never have had a problem with it.
Cons I've had it for a year and my camera stopped working, out of the blue. It sometimes tells me "system busy" when i try and open an app. If i get a txt and call at the same time, the phone glitches and won't let me answer the phone... Minor issues
Summary The phone is not a bad starter phone. Like i said i have had no major issues to the point where i wanted to just return it. But i would HIGHLY reccomend getting your upgrade when it comes, do NOT stick with this phone. The longer you have it the more it gives out on you. Great phone to start off with, but not a phone to keep.
Pros Visual voice mail. Call history that lets you redial calls from the past at a touch. Good speaker phone. Nice album art display during music mode. Nice screen sensitivity.
Cons Can't initiate texts duing speaker phone use. Keyboard for texting could be slightly bigger. No T9 keyboard capability as in other touch screens I've seen for one handed texting.
Summary The Biggest issue I have with this phone is its Huge deficit in roaming! I live in a rural state where Sprint often lacks coverage. I had a Samsung 920 previously and I was able to get full bars of roaming in one specific area of my state. With my S30, I get Zero signal now in the same spot. I have a friend who, with a Palm Treo, still gets full roaming standing next to me. The problem is they have removed the "Roam Only" setting from this phone. It only has Automatic or Sprint Only. Now, if the phone senses even a Trace of Sprint signal, it fights for that signal and will Never give it up for the better roaming signal. And there is NOTHING that can be done about it. No way to turn off Sprint to make a call on a perfectly adequate roaming partners service. I literally took a Giant step forward in technology, but a step backwards in coverage. How frustrating. And what's more sad...I Love the phone!!! Ugh. I understand that it is a trend now for phones to have the Roam Only feature absent. So, changing phones may not even be a solution. Please Samsung, Think About it.
Pros sleek design the screen is more responsive than the original
Cons layout is still the same still dissapointed than you caint dd more apps phone is basic and boring if you r looking for a smart phone look somewhere else
Summary i got this phone after my first two instincts died on me and im still diassapointed
Pros Has pressure sensitive touchscreen unlike many in the market, which is nice when you are wearing gloves on a cold day.
Cons Virtually everything else. Phone can't seem to register music. Whenever it tries to load the music from my memory card, it will stop at random intervals and display the message "uncaught exception. exiting application". From my research, this is a softwar
Summary Don't buy. If you want a phone that will do anything this paperweight claims to be able to do, you'd be better off buying ANYTHING else. Honestly, the more I use this phone, the more I seriously consider buying some cans and string and alleviating much unneeded stress in my life. If you want good customer service where a company will actually take a few minutes to actually realize that it is the poor quality of their product that is the problem, which cannot be solved with troubleshooting, major or minor, choose a company that still cares what the consumers think of their products, if there are even anymore out there.
