"Awesome Phone, lot's of options under the hood" on by Jivedaddy
Pros: Nice screen, great keyboard, lot's of apps, though not as many as the iPhone, Wi-Fi, Worldphone (not that I'll need that), upgradeable micro SD card slot, ability to multi-task (listen to Pandora while surfing the web), and more...
Cons: Cannot customize the "Today" screen with apps I choose, no dedicated button to turn off sound (miss that on my Centro), no Back button, when closing an application it kicks you all the way back to the "Today" screen.
Summary: I really am beginning to like this phone, have had it just shy of a week, so many more hours of tweaking to go. Windows Mobile 6.5 is so different from the Palm OS I've been using for over 7 years, so the learning curve is a bit steep, but getting better day by day.

"NOT A GOOD PHONE FOR SOMEONE ON THE GO" on by subrata2000
Pros: Touchscreen + Keyboard combo was why I bought it after my Blackberry broke down
Cons: Cumbersome, sluggish, software very unstable. Vibrate is weak, text messages are virtually undetectable when phone is on vibrate - I have missed a lot of important texts and calls. Phone book slow to access, too many steps to execute any action.
Summary: I bought this phone two months ago ... now I am looking to replace it right away since it is getting in the way of my being able to work efficiently. Not recommended for someone who is looking for an efficient smartphone.

"Excellent personal and business phone!" on by k8bug1
Pros: easy to use Qwerty keyboard, great touchscreen, easy to navigate buttons, great visibility, easy to navigate system
Cons: wish more colors available than black, wish the minimial ringer tone wasn't so loud
Summary: Fantastic replacement of my beloved LG enV. I wanted to 'grow up' with a smartphone and get away from Verizon. Sprint had the Intrepid and it had all the wonderful features I loved about my enV and added more. The screen is easy to read as I have VERY POOR vision, and it's very user friendly. I am not very tech-savvy and was looking for a more personal-use smartphone with business capabilities. It has a great camera, but I can't figure out the zoom in/out feature for it. The call quality is great, better than what I had before. I've had my computer on with my e-mail and my phone next to it: when I receive a new e-mail I can see it load on my computer and my phone just a mere few seconds later - that's how fast it updates itself!
The calendar feature could use some work visually - it's a bit small and awkward to read at times.
The e-mail/messaging features all work like instant messaging and it makes using the phone easier versus having re-open applications over and over again just to respond to someone.
The speakerphone is great - it works well for calls and for navigation (although the navigation program is Sprint's success, not the phone's). -
"Finally an update to the ACE" on by shantheman
Pros: It's the right size, great keyboard, good battery life, touch screen, WinMo 6.5, and lots of bells/whistles
Cons: Screen resolution isn't the best
Summary: I have been waiting for the update to the ACE for months. I even tried the TouchPro2, but it was too big and clunky for my tastes. (The TouchFlo was nice, but added yet another layer over WinMo 6.1...and made it more confusing) Palm Pre was a horrible experience for me too.
This phone actually motivated me to stay with Sprint. I was growing tired of seeing other carriers with great QWERTY front-sided smartphones, and Sprint had a very poor selection.
Bottom line...the phone has been GREAT. Kudo's to Samsung...they always execute great phone products.
Now, if SPRINT would actually educate their staff. I called one week AFTER the phone was released, and half the store employees didn't even know about the phone...let alone that it was actually in stock. I had to argue with the manager who simply didn't believe they even carried it.
It's thin, light, and fast. Great smartphone. -
"Constantly hangs" on by Nova752
Pros: Both touch screen and full keyboard
Cons: Awful software - constantly hangs and required hard resets once a week, which is a major inconvenience. Will never go for another Windows mobile phone again.
Summary: I am not certain if it is Samsung issue or Microsoft issue, but the phone regularly hangs. When you do soft restart, it doesn't fix the issue. Doing hard resents that wipe out all your data is a major inconvenience, and I have to do it once a month at least, and sometimes once every 2 weeks. I wouldn't recommend this phone.
