"Solid Basic Phone"4.0 starson by Rojo_P
Pros: Price, call quality, customer service, and battery.
Cons: Basic camera. Ringtones and applications management and cost
Summary: This phone is good at what it is intended to do, which is to allow you to make or receive calls away from home. I use this phone strictly as a convenience when away from home, not for up to the minute status reports of what my family, friends and associates are doing. Most everyone can reach me in the office or at home and 99% do not need to speak to me immediately. I am as productive and social as anyone, but have never found a cell phone to be a good replacement for an alert and active mind.
The best feature of this Mantra with Virgin Mobile is that it is costing me about $5 a month which is outrageously inexpensive for making convenient & necessary phone calls (Virgin Mobile plan that automatically adds $5 a month to my credit card). The extra $50 a month savings is invested in the youngest child's college fund, which should amount to around $12,000 by college time - just from using a no frills phone.
Certainly, the phone has limited functionality. Don't expect much of a camera, and ringtones need to be purchased from VM who will rape you. However, customer service has been good for me when needed. Clarity of the phone is good and the battery has lasted.
If you need something other than the basics don't purchase this phone (or you should not have purchased this phone) and you should not be dealing with Virgin Mobile. (And beware of reviewing morons who look at motor bikes, buy a bicycle for the price, and complain about the pedaling and how long it takes to get somewhere)!
