"Loved it at first, now disappointed"1.5 starson by trader_dave
Pros: Terrific hardware design
Cons: Inelegant software, infuriating phone functions
Summary: After graduating (devolving?) from the Kyocera Smartphone (6135 and 7135) to the windows mobile platform (on the first day of b2b availability), I'm disappointed.
An example: If the phone is in data mode and you attempt to make a call, a warning pops up that you must end the data session by pressing the end button. After that you must tap on the screen to close a second bubble pop up, and then when you finally get to dial, you must reenter the number. By the time that occurs, the data connection is frequently restored and you must start over to try and dial!
There are various other weaknesses (even with the basic software, it needs frequent resets) which may be fixed over time or with add on software, but overall, it just doesn't have the elegance of a fully integrated device.
I would only buy this phone if you have feel comfortable tweeking the windows registry and you are much more data oriented than phone oriented.
