Pros: You can browse basically all the options and applications on the phone without sliding it open, Feels decently sturdy, XM radio capability
Cons: REALLY hard to text because of the button lay out, the buttons are smaller than usual.
Summary: I came from having a Moto V557 to this, and it's my first Samsung phone, I'm a big Moto fan. But from day 1 I've been dripping this phone because it's alot thinner than your normal phone and even when slid open it's barely much longer. When you're talking you feel like you have to do the stereotypical ear to mouth back and forth motion.
Of course the phone has an automatic keypad lock function when you slide it close, but I've found myself mistakenly unlocking it and pocket dialing every so often.
The screen is colorful and responds very well.
A big thing for me was ring options, and it features the basic ring, ring and vibrate, ring then vibrate, vibrate increasing ring, and increasing ring.
If you're a big "texter" you shouldn't even touch this phone. The buttons are alot smaller and places close together, but even worse the top numbers (1-3) are placed close to the top slide and you'll often find yourself pressing 4,5 and 6 for 1, 2, and 3.
The phone does offer XM, but you'll need a bluetooth headphones or headset, that's really the nicest thing about it.
The volume is constantly up and down between calls.
The camera is adequate, it lags about 4 seconds from the time you tell it to take a picture to actually taking the picture.
I'd say my personal biggest annoyance is the fact that the middle button usually reserved for "OK/Enter" and Menu is now reserved for the internet and "OK" and for alot of older Moto users you'll find yourself on the internet instead of entering your settings menu. Kind of annoying.
All and all, the phone makes decent calls, but seems to fit better in a small girl's hand, but seeing as girls like to take pictures, this phone isn't even for them.
I'm ranking this a 5 because it's shaky, and there's alot of things that not could but should be alot better. I'm just happy I obtained it free from AT&T
