Pros Don't know
Cons Voice quality
Summary I just got to know - if one of the listed cons is poor voice quality, why does this unit get rated as very good? After all, while mobiles can (and do) so many things they are, ultimately, for making calls. It would seem to me that poor voice quality would leave this phone with a rating of less than very good.
Pros Battery life, ease of use, style, screen quality, call quality, features
Cons Need to occasionally turn it off
Summary I've had this phone for a little over 2 years, and really like it overall. The only problem I have had is I need to turn it off and back on about twice a week or else I can't make or receive calls (this is a recent problem, though, and I have 2 family members who've had the same phone for the same period of time and they have not had this problem). The battery life is good, my phone is on all the time and I need to charge it no more than twice a week. It has a decent camera with a few extra effects, you can take video, decent memory with the ability to expand with a micro SD card. I like the look and the feel of it, it is slim enough to fit well into a pocket, the right size to fit between my ear and shoulder if I need to, speakerphone sound is decent. Sound quality for both calls and music is good. It has all the features I need, and a few nice extras thrown in as well. It is also durable.. I have dropped it many times, even on hard floors and pavement, and never had a problem. Buttons are relatively flat, but raised enough that they are easy to use, the navigation is simple, it is not easy to scratch, no problems with lag or freezing or dropped calls, etc, etc. Basically an all-around good phone.
Pros makes and receives calls fairly well
Cons this phone wastes your time with its poor software design and inefficiencies
Summary 1) the camera constantly is taking photos in my pocket, using up all of the memory with blank photos... erasing photos takes about 10 seconds a piece! There is no way to disable the camera either!
2) The fact that it advertises that it offers Bluetooth is a total scam, since you can only connect the phone to a wireless headset, and not to your computer or another cell phone. So you won't be sharing photos or ring-tones or backing up your contacts to your computer with this device! You could use the phone's internet functions to send ring-tones or photos, but with my carrier (Rogers/AT&T in Canada) that is an expensive option.
3) The oldest text messages sent or received are not automatically deleted, and so the memory quickly gets full. You can delete the messages one-by-one, but again, as with deleting photos, the processor is so slow in this phone that it take 7 or 8 seconds each, which is a long time when you have 85 text messages to delete!
4) The image quality from the camera is really sub-par.
Pros light, decent camera, nice look, always has a good signal
Cons no music player, no video, no pizazz
Summary this phone was a great Christmas present. sure it doesn't have some stuff that makes a phone great, but what does have works perfectly. the camera shoots alright pictures, and the voice recording is alright to. overall, if your hurting in the money department, or you don't want to spend a lot on a phone, this is a good phone
Pros I love the color ans the sleekness.
Cons This phone is a joke.
Summary I have not had my phone for even a year yet and it has already given me so much trouble it is unbelievable. Within the first two months of having it I would receive phone calls, but the name nor the number would appear and when I accepted the phone call there was not anyone there also the timer on the phone would say that I had been on the phone for at least twenty to thirty minutes when it had only been a few seconds. That was the beginning of worst things to come with this phone. Here within the last week I received a voicemail that I listened to, but little did I know that the voicemail symbol would stay on for the next week and a half. I tried everything to clear it off my screen but it would not disappear. I was ready to handle those types of things myself, but by this past weekend I had enough. I woke up Saturday morning and had planned on charging my phone before I left to take the ACT, but instead of charging it decided to have a mind of its own. The phone refused to charge. I thought at first that maybe it was the charger that I had but I noticed that the red light that came on when my charger was working went off only when I stuck it in my phone. After that I tried everything. I tried two different chargers and then I tried a car charger. I finally was able to charge the phone in the car but it would not charge on its own I had to hold it at a akward angle the entire time. When it had finished charging I took the cahrgeer out and within one hour my phone was dead again.I called Samsung and talked to customer service and he told me that because I didn't have a contract with them or AT&T he did not know if they would infact r4eplace my phone. He went on to ask me if there was any water damage to the phone, but the little white circle that is supposed to indicate water damage that is located under my battery is still completely white instead of being red therefore the phone does not have water damage. These types of phones have software problems and I recommend that no one buy this phones.
