"Very Satisfied"on by SailorPrl
Pros Many ringtones and options for sorting contacts and taking photos
Cons Camera isn't good, not very long on recording sounds, battery life is so-so
Summary After upgrading from a Samsung a500, this phone isn't too bad, and I'm a very picky person.
overall it's wonderful. The keys on the pad are soft keys. It's a bit heavier than most Samsung phones I've looked at.
The speaker phone is good, but if you close the phone the call ends. The microphone, when on speaker, can't be heard clearly. If it wasn't on speaker, the reciever can understand the caller very well.
The photo camera function on this isn't very good. Although there are several little frames and effects (sepia, B&W, blus focus, sketch, emboss, negative, etc), the photos aren't well lighted. There isn't a flasah function in this, though there needs to be one.
The video camera function is neat, but it only lasts a short time. It only records the person closest person to the mic, which almost destroys the purpose of having a video.
Pros It was free
Cons You get what you pay for
Summary This phone has been nothing but trouble. It worked fine for about three weeks, then it started having problems. I've had it now for about two months and it is to the point that it shuts down every other day. Now whenever I call someone I can hear them but they can't hear me. It says "sim card crash" about every three days and requires a hard reset. I've tested the sim card on another phone without problem.
T-mobile says I can send it in but since it's more than two weeks old I can only send it in for a refurbished one, not a new one.
I would not recommend this phone to anyone.
Pros design, camera, design
Cons when i find one i will let you know
Summary this is an absolutely amazing phone, i have had it for a week an di am in love tih it, the camera quality is great and the camcorder option is useful , the ringtones sound so good, and its a very easy phone to use, the color of the phone is amzaing, i love the design and the screen is clear and crisp, this phone weighs less than the V180 i traded up for, this is my favorite phone tmobile has offered i have been through 4 phones in the last year and this is by far my favorite, i highly reccomend this phone to anyone from beginner to picture taker
Pros :easy to use, cool camera effects ,light, good reception, many contact options, sounds clear, and the speaker phone is nice
Cons :its really not that bad of a phone: not the best camera(but it works), silent mode (see below),ringer options, and the battery life is weak
Summary :THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
i just upgraded this phone from TMOBILE for 50$ with a 2 year service agreement and i dont have any regrets choosing this phone. ive had the phone for about 2 months and ive noticed that it is a better phone than people make it out to be.(i wish this site would make a video for it to show you how the phone is cuz the picture isnt enough.
to go into more detail:
to start this phone is pretty easy to use, it can b as complicated as you want to b(by adding speed dial, groups, picture id and ringtone, etc)but like any phone you will need to play with it to learn it.
the phone offers cool camera effects(for those who like to take pictures). as far as RECEPTION, i go to a high school that uses cell phone jammers to block out kids cell phones reception and even in the"most protected areas"i have had reception, and for the most part the calls are clear, only in low reception areas is the phone choppy. though i have had somewhat of a problem with the volume of some calls, but overall its all gravy.and as far as the speaker phone goes it sounds good (on both ends.
so now with the bad stuff:
the BATTERY life is pretty weak, but thats with texting, playing games, taking pics and leaving the phone on all thru-out the day and night...i meen it lasts about 3 days(no where near the 9 days samsung claims)
the phones "silent mode" is sumwhat of a joke becuz when u take a picture in "silent" it makes the shutter sound... but other than that its all good.
RINGER options are kinda dissapointing, only having three...vibrate,melody, and vibrate then melody, but not a big deal
IN CONCLUSION, this phone is most definetly a good phone wether ur a cell phone fanatic(hving the latest ringtones and advanced settings on ur phone), or ur a buisnessman-woman, and are just looking for a nice phone with good reception and makes the call, this is the phone for u.
Pros Clear sound, great size, love the speaker phone!
Cons Turns off for no reason, small buttons, camera and video are poor quality, no blue tooth.
Summary I have had this phone for about 3 weeks now and have gone through about 10 automatic shutdowns. I will be in the middle of text messaging and it will turn itself off and then power back up. It is a great compact size and the sound quality is excellent. My previous phone was a Sharp TM-150 and although it was big and bulky, it took some awesome pictures and videos. I guess I was expecting my Samsung to have comparable features. I wish there was a SD slot to store pics and videos.Updated
I got this phone in February and within the first week, it had turned off on me 6 times. It would turn off, restart and then be fine. The sound quality isn't all that great. Talking to someone was difficult becuase it was always muffled. The speakerphone was horrible as well. No one could ever hear me properly and it was difficult to understand others when on it. I sent off for a replacement since my other one was busted. Got it in a few days but havent even used it. I went back to my Sharp TM150 and am waiting for the MDA to come in stock for an upgrade.
