"Adequate but the Jury is still out"
Pros: without a doubt the sd card it allows you do alot of things mp3 player 32 mb mem able to have your entire outlook database
Cons: no real support from sprint we will see from samsung
Summary: The real problem with a pda/phone or in this case phone/pda is the lack of support and finding out what you can or cannot do. Now with every 3g phone haa n400, sanyno 5300, Sony T608 i have been able to use it as a wireless modem for my laptop. According to sprint I can't which I know is not true. You will get little or no support from your carrier on other than their publisized functions. I have had to go to 3rd parties to learn how to do basic functions with this pda. Unfortunately you have to wait for awhile people who have more time than i do to figure out what you can do with it. This Phone pda allows you to dial someone by simply dialing letter corresponding to the number until their name pops up. I was at a gathering and got a card from a guy who's name looked familiar and because it holds my entire outlook database i was able to look him up including of notes of when I met him and for what reason. My calendar and task functions as well as independently checking my email every hour on the hour. ya the im is nice, the mp3 player is nice apparently I can watch tv on it too but so what
a phone is not a camera (camera phones resolutions suck anyway)
not a computer a pda's main responisbility is to manage your appointments, calendar & email
also, while i mention email if someone emails you a phone number in any recognized phone number format and you can clik and dial as well as if you stick 1gb sd card in there is voice dial system too that i haven't really explored as well as audible.com
there is more to explore but it does what it is suppose too.
there is some talk about gps with the sd slot but ask your self a question how can you have that when you need the sd slot to hold the maps.
as batter life, I had the sony t608 the battery life is fine condisidering what it does. Samsung is the 1st to smarten up and allow you to power you primary and back up battery in the sync cradle
internet is good better than average
we really though will have to wait to see what kind of 3rd party software available.
that said of the other phone/pda this is the best with regards to being a phone. Looks like a phone and works like one. it will lock up from time to time though when you try to do to many things at once
but we'll see
my net cost was only $265 after buying it on ebay and selling my old phone.

I have an i600 that is provided by my company. Based on it's performance I would never suggest that anyone buy one and I'd strongly suggest avoiding Samsung phones.
about 1 in 5 phones break at the hinges and the OS is unstable and locks up frequently.
