Pros: Excellent reception, great call quality, solid build, tremendous speakerphone, the flashlight and fm radio.

Cons: MP3 player is very out-dated

Summary: Yes it's heavy, and yes it's not loaded with apps, but it is the toughest phone Sprint has ever sold. With excellent reception and call quality, and a speakerphone you can hear over an idling Cummins diesel. Unfortunately the CNET reviewer did not tighten the battery cover sufficiently so water got in during her test. I was an avid Nextel/Motorola user, but now that Moto has gone uptown and Nextel is being shuttered, it is good to see Sprint actually getting serious about a really rugged phone. If you want a phone that is simply a phone, while at the same time be able to go anywhere at any time in any condition, you can't do much better.
