Pros: Absolutely LOVE this phone. It's fast, easy to navigate, crisp screen, GREAT camera and video recording, seamless transitions from one app to another
Cons: TERRIBLE battery life! Still on Android 4.1.2. Of course, it's stuffed with AT&T's junk apps that are non-removable barring rooting your phone. And I'm going on Xperia #3
Summary: Likely, I'm that one review you'll read where the person just had horrible luck and got dud phones. I'm going to start off by saying that I LOVE this phone! And I'm picky. It has such a crisp screen, a beautiful camera at 13MP, awesome recording capabilities, and great transitions. Call quality is excellent. It's far better than my husbands Galaxy Nexus as far as quality goes.
However, I'm still running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 (despite the announcement in MARCH that AT&T and Sony would be rolling out 4.2 for the Xperia TL) and KitKat 4.4 was just announced. For a phone MORE than capable of handling 4.2 (its processor is up there with the best), I'm frustrated. But, this seems to be par for the course for AT&T's phones. Never getting promised updates.
For the biggest CON of all, I'm currently on phone #3 of the TL. Don't worry. In a week, I'll be holding a Nexus 4 in my hands and selling the replacement TL, but for the love of all things, why are my phones lasting 6 weeks? First phone dies completely and won't turn back on, and with a non-removable battery, warranty is automatic. Second phone drops calls, won't call out, receives texts, pings (Hangouts), and voicemails all at once, despite showing a solid 4G/Wi-fi connection. So off it goes and here comes the Nexus 4.
