    "Playing catchup"

by zvonr on October 7, 2008

Pros: 1. Java as dev language (I am not sure that this is an advantage for the end user ...)
    2. Open Source? (I am not sure that this is an advantage for the end user ...)
    3. Removable battery

Cons: 1. TMobile poor network coverage
    2. UI inconsistent and ugly
    3. No headphone jack
    4. No Multitouch!!!!!!
    5. No Accelerometer
    6. Ugly Design (my subjective opinion)
    7. Keyboard necessary due to inferior touch screen, making the phone bulky.

Summary: The only reason to buy this phone is if you hate Apple or ATT.
This phone attempts to play catchup with the iphone, and fails in catching up.
Choice is no advantage when all your choices suck...

they didn't give this multitouch because Apple threatened to sue them. It does have an accelerometer. So tell me, do you just close your eyes when coming up with opinions, or do you put on a blindfold and earplugs, too? Cause You did zero research before coming up with this opinion.

Listen, the UI "IS" consistent, and since it is open source, it is modifiable and can be THEMED..It's not really because Java is a dev language that it can help the end user directly, but because it is easy to code, so the developers would like to do what they can how they want. Open source is good because it again. cam be modded. Examples could include ISO readers, Emulators for Roms, etc. Also, noob, it HAS an accelerometer, how can you not look it up? The phone hasn't come out yet, so stop B*******.

    YAY! ur a Mac Fanboy!
Obviously you have no clue what you are talking about.

Android forced Apple to loosen the reins on its developers... before android was actually released.
