"Great Phone with Fatal Problem"
Pros: Connectivity / Virtual Earth / Streaming Radio
Cons: Does not turn off / Gets Hot / 4 Hour Standby Battery Life
Summary: Don't get me wrong. I love this phone and it's changing my mobile life on the road! Unfortunately, it has one fatal (possibly humanly fatal) problem. Even though the phone is locked, it continuously tries to turn itself on while it's in it's holster. Twice now, I've felt the phone's heat through the holster, my thick leather belt, my trowsers and my tucked in shirt. Once, the phone was almost too hot to handle!
I always lock the phone. I've even tried locking the sim and pressing the * button for 2 seconds.
The only way I can keep the phone from trying to turn itself on is to totally turn the power off which means I cannot receive calls.
I've been to 3rd level T-Mobile support with no luck.
Any "knowledgeable" solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated.
