Bottom line	The ZTE Render would be a great starter Windows Phone, but only if it came out a year ago.	Although U.S. Cellular's ZTE Director is inexpensive under contract, the carrier offers better handsets at the same low price.	If you're looking for a midtier Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Axiom's cheap price is hard to beat.	A few quibbles notwithstanding, the powerhouse HTC One is a beautifully crafted, near-ideal smartphone.	The Samsung Mesmerize is a top-notch smartphone for U.S. Cellular customers, offering a brilliant touch screen, speed, and plenty of features.
