Pros Fast phone and easy to use. Reading e mail is very easy to see without enlarging the screen ( this coming from someone who usually needs reading glasses) Screen crisp and clear and I love the large size. You can customize your apps through Boost ID Packs.
Cons Because its a new phone you can't get cases and screen protectors for it yet. I did find a soft rubber case for the Droid X 2 that fits this phone. with a little cutting for the camera volume control it will work till they come out with ones for this one.
Pros Large crisp LDC screen
Android app market
Perfect call quality
Decent battery life
Wide screen means I can text easier
Lightning fast processor
Good speaker phone,long range
Cons Cannot use a few apps as with previous phone
Mp3 player could be a little louder, but that's just me
Summary I traded my mint condition T-Mobile HTC Sensation 4g phone at my local Boost Mobile retailer for this ZTE Warp and I must say, I don't regret that decision. I paid T-Mo $100+ each month, locked into a never-ending contract. Their plans were not conducive to my tight budget. I grew tired of trying to persuade them to change my plan to keep my business, but they only repeated the same rhetoric the company wanted them to say. I researched the best prepaid provider and decided upon Boost due mostly to the shrinkage plan and customer service reviews. I researched their smartphone selection and chose the ZTE Warp. I was skeptical at first because the price of $199 had me to believe that it would not hold a candle to the HTC because I had become accustomed to the bountiful features and interactive widgets. However, I purchased the phone, the store activated it and home I went. I played with the features and to my surprise, I discovered within minutes that the only thing I mistake I made was not changing to Boost sooner. I haven't dropped a single phone call since I switched. With T-Mobile, I couldn't even use the phone in my house. I dropped more calls than I connected. I had to keep a home phone just to stay connected. Now, it can be disconnected, saving more money. In short, for those of you still paying hundreds of dollars each month to those "big box" cell phone carriers because you think their service is better, please reconsider. You can get all that you're getting now for $55 per month with tax. That's it. No more playing guess how big is my cell bull this month. Free yourself from contract slavery and come into the light. Run, don't walk to your nearest Boost mobile store and get this phone with the unlimited android plan for $55 and smile all the way to the bank.
"ZTE Warp is JUNK!!"on by cryobaby
Pros Nothing at all to report.
Cons Where do i begin? Random restarts are very common and occur often
very poor audio
terrible reception (each call has to be redialed due to initial loud static)
terrible sd card placement
camera is a joke
phone is a joke
Summary I guess this Chinese company is laughing all the way to the bank by ripping U.S. consumers off with sub par phones which aren't worth the box they come in! I have NEVER had such a miserable experience with a phone as I am having with this paperweight. it locks up if you are playing friggin' card games...I have contacted ZTE about this, and SUPRISE no response. My next call is the the U.S. Consumer Protection Agency as i am sure they would love to know not only about this Chinese company making crap phones but also Boost Mobile and their horrible customer no-service as well as the price that is being charged it is an outright crime what these criminals are getting away with. Tonight i almost rand this phone through my paper shredder but didn't cuyz i need the papershredder. Save yourself lots of stress and frustration and look beyond this Mickey Mouse piece of chinese doo doo!
Pros LOVE THE LARGE SCREEN, CAMERA QUALITY, EASY TO USE AND MOSTLY RAN BY GOOGLE
Cons IT WILL GET THIS RED LIGHT THAT COMES ON WHEN IN STAND-BY MODE AND WON'T GO OFF.
Summary I LOVE THE LARGE SCREEN AND THE CALL AND CAMERA QUALITY BUT WHEN IN STAND-BY MODE OR WHEN I PULL IT OFF THE CHARGER IT WILL GET THIS RED LIGHT THAT WON'T GO AWAY AND THE PHONE WON'T POWER BACK ON. I HAVE TO THAT THE BACK OFF AND TAKE THE BATTERY OUT IN ORDER FOR IT TO COME BACK ON. BUT OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE THIS PHONE.
Pros Larger Screen
More internal storage space
Excellent Photo Quality
Camera has a flash!
Cons Freezes often
Restarts on it's own
Music starts on its own
Ringer volume gets lower and lower
Summary Like the user CeeElDubaYou, I had issues with this phone from day one. And the problems seem to get worse and worse as time goes on.
The first day i had it, I charged it up, put a few songs on the memory card, and went to work. After being at work for about a half hour, my music player decided to start on it's own. Was very embarrassing. Downloaded a different music player, but now that one starts on its own.
The phone constantly freezes up. Sometimes after it freezes, it just restarts on its own, sometimes I have to pop the battery out.
Sometimes when I'm listening to music, the music player just shuts down on it's own, or the phone will restart on it's own.
After about a week of having the phone, the volume level on the speaker started decreasing. Turning the volume up does nothing. Now, the only way I can hear if i have a text message or a call is to hook the phone up to external speakers.
I did not buy the warranty, so i'm screwed until a lot of people complain and Boost decides to do a Firmware update or something.
A total waste of $200.
