* The words "east" and "west" don't work properly. This is especially a problem in NYC where this is critically necessary.Summary Apple maps adds some nice ads from Google Maps, but it simply does not work correctly in some places, rendering it completely useless. If you have the option to retain your Google Maps and not "upgrade" to Apple maps, I highly recommend you do so.

* Something is wrong with Apple's algorithm and the words "east" and "west" don't work properly. This is especially a problem in NYC where this is critically necessary. The maps program simply has no idea where an address like "10 west 83 street" is located -

Summary Media hype doesn't apply to St. Louis, just wanted to point that out. May be different elsewhere, but not here. Personally, it wouldn't surprise me if it was way overblown.
