"Does it all... poorly"1.5 starson by craigbla
Pros: Cheap - reminds you to run it.
Cons: Does nothing well (defrag or backup anyway)
Summary: I bought it on sale for $9.95 which is dirt cheap even for 1 PC and it can be used on 3 for a year. The problem is that it's clumsy, slow and you have virtually no control over backup and defrag. I only installed it under Vista (where I have little to lose) because I had heard the 1.x release was awful but 2.0 was better. Think about this: to run a "tuneup" you have to let Onecare complete a sequence of spyware scanning, defrag and then backup. In my case the defrag will run for hours so I can't backup Vista unless I'm willing to sit thru a full (and slow...) defrag - it's just stupid... The backup applet does not seem to integrate into a full system restore that I can see so it's just a file level backup and you have crazy choices like "mail files" and "financial files" which are based on extensions. This might be better than nothing for somebody but I think most people would be better off syncing to a USB key and doing the rest by themselves.
