Pros: Excel has more rows. That's about all I can tell. I'm sure there are many more Pros, but the Cons waaay overshadow the Pros.
Cons: Many tasks take more clicks or more keyboard commands than before. You can no longer remove unused items from the toolbar (ribbon) to replace them with your preferred items.
Summary: If you've never used earlier versions of MS Office, you may like Office 2007. I purchased Office 2007 at a discount, and I'm still sorry I did.
I don't mind learning a new interface, but some of the changes seem to have no purpose other than to show they've changed it...perhaps to help justify the new version and cost.
If you sync your phone/PDA between two PCs, one with 2007 and one with 2003 (such as work and home), be prepared for side effects. All-day events in Outlook get screwed up with each sync.
If Microsoft, with Vista and Office 2007, is trying to relieve itself of the burden of too many faithful followers, they will succeed.
