securitySummary: it's a nice idea. it;s just not the time for it. i don;t like them asking me to add this and verify that. and how do i know they are keeping my info safe? i've had to report my credit card stolen when i saw 10 fraud charges on my credit card bill and the only place i entered my credit card info on is the obopay site. shady business if you ask me.

Pros: A great way to make sure kids have money without handing out cash...can monitor use of the money sent to them and they always check in for more....
The fees are less than most prepaid or reloadable credit cards and much more convenient.Cons: It takes a while for bank transactions to load on the card and the fees for credit card transfers are much more expensive but at least they are available if you are in a time crunch.
Summary: This is the best way I have found to monitor and supply cash for college students and to have peace of mind that if an emergency came up it is possible to get the funds to them quickly. Kids also tend to loan their friends cash if they have it on hand....this method cuts down on that happening as easily. Most inappropriate purchases won't happen on a credit card that mom is monitoring....

Pros: Great , I can not say how great it is to now take credit card payments in my Taxi cabs without the high over head of dealing with credit card processors and all there high fees.
Cons: The Obopay web site does not say exactly what credit cards can be used to send money or what type of card my customer can use.
Summary: This is the best thing to come from being able to use a cell phone number to pay for services ,a cab ride ect.... This can be endless ..... Low fess to my customers and no fees to me the merchant .

Pros: I think this is a great concept and the fees are reasonable if you don't use their debit card (though fees are actually pretty competitive as far as pre-paid cards go). The program for the blackberry is awesome as I am sure as is the iphone app.
Cons: Customer service is only available from 8am-6pm ...unfortunately I am never in need of them at those times. So, hopefully when the company grows a little more they can afford to keep them open at more useful hours.
Summary: Overall i like Obopay, though it would be nice to be able to reset my own password if i lock up my account and i would like to know when i am close to locking my account up. Amazon's TextPayMe works close to the same but is completely free...though it lack's the user friendly interface Obopay has (especially on cell phones).
