Pros It works a lot better then ITunes Radio, and knows what I like and in know time turns me on to stuffed that I soon love to almost instantly. It's a dear old friend! And it's very cheaply priced!
Cons Well, I wish I could skip more songs I don't like.
Pros None that I can think of.
Cons do not filter offensive content.
Summary Pandora promotes racial bigotry and hatred.
The "song" that set me off was "Run, ******, Run" by the Virginia Mountain Boys.
Pros I like being able to create separate stations for easy listening rock, jazz, etc. The algorithm for offering new music selections is very well done.
Cons Artist royalties are dismally low. Even top rock stars typically get around $2500 a year. Less well known artists don't stand a chance. Also, their website started popping up a "Tip" asking if I want to buy a track/album, EVERY time I "like" a song.
Summary I have a lot invested in setting up my stations over the years and am mostly pleased with how Pandora operates. However, if I were starting right now, I would seriously consider alternatives ...especially ones that paid better royalties. I would even be willing to pay a bit more if it went to the artists. My musician friends are having a tough time making a living in the Internet age! Also, as I said in another section, I find their constant popups asking me if I want to buy songs that I like irritating.
