Pros: It was a mandatory install with my Dell

Cons: Bug insisted on reinstalling an update again and again and again and again

Summary: My new Dell contract required a three year subscription to PC-Cillin Internet Security 14. It came with a bug that after each start insisted I must restart to finish installation of the same 403 kb configuration file. Dell gave me a "temporary fix" -- delete a temp file -- that was so temporary it didn't work for even one restart. PC-Cillin had me uninstall, then reinstall. I did. That solved that problem. But now clicking on "Help" produces an error message . . . how do you get help when "Help" errs out?

Sheesh. I've purchased McAfee, Symantec, now this. Symantec is my #1 choice.

I run a computer repair business and Norton Antivirus is a big money maker for me. People call up "My internet stopped working one day". I ask "Do you have a Linksys WRT54G?" (Another piece of junk). If they answer no, I then ask "Do you have Norton Antivirus?" 100% of the time, the answer is yes if they are not using the Wi-Fi on the WRT54G. I remove Norton, or start Windows in safe mode, and everything works fine. Oh, and you can't just remove Norton, you have to download the "Norton Removal Tool", otherwise your Windows may be left with serious flaws.

So go with Norton. And then wait for your internet to stop working.

Call the service and they will send you a brand new one by e-mail, they give very good service and don't forget the service is done by humans like us. By a car and tell if you have the same service, NO! Nothing is perfect but they are trying and you don't pay for it, they even give a extension for more months. Have a nice life!
The Bob!

I too, got PC-Cillin Interent Security 14 with my new Dell PC running MS Vista Home Premium. It would check for new updates every 3-4 minutes, find Personal Firewall and Virus pattern updates and ask me to reboot. In fact nothing new was being found. To get out of this loop I had to uninstall and then re-install the Personal Firewall. Since then, no complaints, but it's only been a week :&gt)
