Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Notebook sound card

Pros: Amazing sound quality. Ease of installation. Low profile card. Very configurable.

Cons: Requires a harness to be connected between your external speakers and the card itself, even if only using 2/2.1 speakers. Just another cord to get in the way.

Summary: This card transformed my new Compaq x6110US laptop from audibly challenged to amazing audio clarity. Aside from the annoying harness needed to connect your external speakers, the only other minor drawback was having to turn down the software volume control below about 55%, and jack up the volume on the speakers themselves, in order to avoid a wierd distortion problem that seemed to affect all audio mediums (MP3, CD, Etc.) However, the combination of lowering and raising volumes did the trick, and the card works spectacularly!

Definitely recommend this card to anyone who wants to enjoy high quality audio on their laptop!
