"Don't buy the Bose SoundDock" on by primitivehuman
Pros: size, sound quality, price
Cons: ambiguous volume control
Summary: This Klipsch's answer to the Bose SoundDock. This system packs quite a punch for its size. I was impressed by the sound clarity and range. The bass is pretty punchy yet it doesn't cause the whole system to vibrate on the shelf. As of now it is $20 cheaper than the Bose SoundDock and has more value. Of course, it has an input specifically for ipods but also comes with a plug for a headphone jack. In addition, you get an alternate cradle for mp3 players.

"Beat Bose Sound Dock in my Kitchen" on by ApothecaryDan
Pros: The iGroove had a slightly richer sound to my un trained ear in the acoustically challanged environment of our kitchen. It packs a nice punch for the price.
Cons: It doesn't quite fill a large room. You can't really crank it up to enjoyable levels that would annoy the wife. I wish there were more color options (ie Black)
Summary: I purchased both the Bose Sound Dock and the Klipsch iGroove at our local Best Buy for a head to head comparison. (BTW, I wouldn't have to do this if Best Buy would have both on display.) I am taking the Bose back in the morning. I found the iGroove to have richer nicer sound. Our iPod also sits a little more securely in the iGroove. Our test music ran from Nickleback, Motley Crue(myself) to John Legend, Cher(wife) ...and a little Johny Cash thrown in (neither claims this one).

"Nothing Better" on by govtmule
Pros: Great highs and lows
Cons: Huge Power Supply
Summary: After listening to most of the IPOD options available, Logitech, Altec Lansing, Bose, etc, The IGroove blows them all away. Klipsch, IMHO, has the best speakers on the market and have for years. The IGroove is no small exception. Got it at Target for $239 and it has not disappointed. Although the power supply is huge and heavy, this is one sweet sounding set. This unit actually sounds like a real stereo, not some tinny am radio like most of the others. All IPODS fit in this unit (with supplied adapters)and it is far and away the best speaker boombox for the IPOD.
