"Highly Impressed!" on by Todd-Kramer
Pros: + Sound is clear, rich and bassy
+ Very easy set up
+ Noticeable sound improvement
+ Small footprint
+ Impressive stereo effect
+ Decent bassCons: - There is no feedback from your volume control on the remote
Summary: I bought this after reading so many excellent reviews and felt I had to add my own. I wanted a bit more oomph out of my TV, with the possibility of fake surround sound but without the hassle. Well, I got most of that. The sound is clear, rich and bassy without being over-powering. The 'virtual surround sound' is slightly stretching it, though there is a definite expansiveness to the sound. Pandora played through the TV via my Roku sounds like a top-notch stereo system. I played around last night with a few sound-worthy DVDS - 'Star Wars' & 'Avatar' - and although I didn't hear tie fighters behind me, the stereo effect from this single device is impressive. Even OTA TV has more depth to it now.
The subwoofer and the phase cue (the 'surround sound' effect) can both be adjusted manually, and I'm sure I will be playing around with these a lot until I've found the sweet spot. Music can sound a little echoey if the effect is too far apart, but not noticeably stereo enough for films. My TV remote works well enough for volume that I don't see the need for the separate remote. Apart from the faux surround sound effect, my only gripe is that the subwoofer control is at the back - not sure why, and slightly annoying.
In summary, this system has a whole lot of good things going for it: very easy set up; noticeable sound improvement; small footprint; impressive stereo effect; decent bass. You can even plug in your MP3 player - and they supply the cable for that too! (An added bonus - I assumed I would have to go out and buy that.) Highly recommended.

"It is what it is" on by Rod Roddy
Pros: All in one audio device
Cons: Virtual surround could have been improved
Summary: I live in a medium size apartment in S.F. I don't have the room, or the budget to have a true 5.1 surround sound mega system. Besides with a 10pm disturbance curfew in the city, I was hard pressed to get a good sounding system without getting the neighbors pissed. That’s where the ZVOX 325 comes in. After a weeks worth of research, I settled on the zvox for its value and performance record. I considered the Soundmatters MainstageHD device, but its way more expensive, and has a sub woofer to boot.
Like I said, in a medium size apartment, space is at a premium. Overall I'm very, very impressed with the sound that comes out of this thing. It's absolutely ridiculous...in a good way. This system is not for everyone though; those of you who love your surround sound louder than hell and true, should look elsewhere. I especially like the fact that my living room is not littered with wires going to and from speakers and amps. Front panel controls and remote are a big plus, and the one page instruction manual (if you can call it that) is a novice dream come true.
All in all I really like this product, although I would have liked the faux-soundstage to have been a bit more dramatic--but I'm not complaining. Last but not least, at $349.99 it's a deal and will definitely add some "bump" to your puny built-in TV speakers. -
"Might have a defective unit..." on by Phil_Dunphy
Pros: Sleek design, solid feeling construction, clear mids
Cons: I believe my unit is defective, subwoofer out doesn't work, sound is clear enough but lacks ANY DEPTH, highs and some mids only, lows are not produced, almost sounds like a high quality clock radio.
Summary: I gave the unit 3 stars because I am still working out getting a replacement unit and I'm sure once I do I'll be happy. I am just frustrated that this one hasn't worked out for me so far. Thank GOD I bought it at Crutchfield as their service is the best I've ever dealt with.

"Has Not worked Yet" on by Patrick 84
Pros: It is a huge paper weight. Their customer Service is abysmal. After several e-mails Their Customer Service rep was to send me a new power cord. So they send me another remote. If I could give a negative rating, I'd give them minus 3 stars.
Cons: Doesn't work.
Summary: It has not worked once in 2 weeks. Their customer service should all be fired. They aret otally inept.
After being promised a new power cord to be "expedited" on Monday, March 14th.2011 Nothing has happened as oif Friday March18th. I would change my rating to Minus 4 stars. Their customer Service might bas well be in a Foreign country.

"affordable, easy to use, well rounded speaker system." on by paintingdoors
Pros: Has a crisp sound at both low+high volumes. Don't need a receiver to
use it - works off of a headphone jack or a RCA audio cable. Also
being the size and shape of a record player, its easy to store/ find a
place for it in a home entertainment center.Cons: Not quite the same as surround sound. But it fits into a surround
sound set up quite well. Also sometimes you have to manually adjust
the knobs for a better sound. Easy enough to achieve a great sound.Summary: I like it. I have simple needs and Zvox suits them quite well. Really
full sound that you can adjust according to the size of the room.
Plugs into computers and IPod very easily. Both my parents and I are
very content with the speakers.
