"Great addition to runs"
Pros: Not bulky, keeps you on track
Cons: Some GPS gliches, web site a bit wonky
Summary: I just started using the Adeo this week. I'm a recreational runner but still like to keep an accurate account of mileage, pace, elevation etc. The Adeo lets me do all these things without the annoyance of dealing with my watch. The Adeo is quite light. I bought a little clip on holder that I attach to my running bra, which works great. (I didn't even try out the bizarre, bulky and ugly belt that shipped with the Adeo, meant to hold the Adeo plus an MP3 player.)
The problem I've had so far, which many people have commented on, is the amount of time it takes for the Adeo to lock onto a satellite. Today I stood on my corner for 6 minutes before I could begin my run. I'm about to install MotionLingo's Optimizer software that will help with the problem (or so I hope). I also had *terrible* luck using it with my Ipod Shuffle. MotionLingo notes that MP3 players can compromise GPS abilities, something I found to be very, very true. Running with both caused the Adeo to lose it's satellite feed often, which was quite annoying. When I ditched my Shuffle, it never cut out.
The software for the Adeo is a bit cumbersome but I think the company will continue to work on this. (I love that my runs are mapped--great feature.)
All in all I'm digging the Adeo. If you're into gadgets and running then this is for you.
