"Does what it does well"3.0 starson by ctoddy1
Pros: Easy to use. Fits well.
Cons: Compared to other Bluetooth heartrate monitors may be overpriced.
Summary: I've had this for about a month. I work out 6 days a week. As pointed out by others, for what it does I think it does it well. It's a heartrate monitor, nothing more nothing less. I do agree with the reviewer in that, for the price, I would have loved to see an accelerometer, but that's not a deal breaker.
The willpower score I was frustrated with initially, but I've now bought into it. For comparing how hard I'm working from workout to workout it's a good indicator tracking my intensity.
Today, for the first time I had the problem of the app basically not reading the strap. If it happens again I will be very frustrated. I'm really hoping it's a one time deal.
The app is straight forward. The thing that frustrates me the most about the app is getting it started at the beginning of a workout. If you are on a cellular network for data it basically asks you twice if you realize you may use data. Then there is an additional confirmation screen. I just want to hit Start workout and go.
Finally, is it worth it. I was content to spend the money when I got it. Since that time I've seen a couple of bluetooth heart rate monitors for about 1/2 the price. I don't know how they compare so will refrain here from commenting more. Given that the others are out there however, I have a hard time giving it more than 3 stars based on cost.
