on by wepucciPros My wife and I bought this stove a from appliancesconnection.com and, as with any major appliance purchase, were concerned about some of the reviews we read. We've been using it for almost a year now with absolutely no problems.
Cons the bottom of the unit was damaged on one side by appliancesconnection.com gave us some money back so we were content and it hasn't affected the performance at all

"Pretty outside hides a lousy build inside."
on by akarwowPros What a great looking unit. The double oven function is great. The range top was also very functional -- well laid out. Very intuitive controls.
Cons The range broke down after only a couple of months (bought on 9/10/2010 broke down on 11/4/10). GE Customer service was absolutely unhelpful. Now we're stuck without a functioning oven for Thanksgiving holidays with family coming.

Control panel up top protected from spills (front board control panel would be susceptible to a spill)Cons Early issues - hoping at this point they do not become frequent.
Summary We used it about a dozen times without issue. Then we hit a 180 on the performance. Oven basically fried the "mother" board. The oven has two motors, a few board and additional relays. The tech new right away based on the F610, F780 and the "Door + Lock symbol" that persisted after a series of resets.
The parts were covered under our warranty. We love the look of the range with the matching microwave. Additional feedback to follow upon the arrival of our replacement components.
