Infinity Interlude IL100s review (subwoofer)

The heavy-duty low-frequency effects punctuating the opening battle sequence in Saving Private Ryan don't ruffle the IL100s's composure one bit. It delivers solid, deep bass in the jolting thunder of distant explosions. Many subs blur and muddle that sort of sound, but the IL100s clarifies what's going on down there, and you can really hear the difference.

Things were going so well, in fact, we had to double-check the IL100s's price--yeah, it's $499. It might be the best--the deepest, fastest, most musical and room-adaptive--$499 sub you can buy. If you want all that oomph and more, check out its elder sibling, the 12-inch $749 IL120s.
