"Looks better than it sounds" on
Summary: I don't know how much Infinity Systems paid Steve to write a "fab" review of the subwoofer, but the subwoofer definitely can't hold it's own against other $500 competitors. I couldn't get this this thing to reach 35 Hz, no matter where I placed it, not even with the RABOS kit. I've owned a Velodyne servo sub before so I know what deep bass should sound like. I'm definitely sure now that I'll have to go buy a Hsu Research sub or one from SVS for a true bang for the buck. Wonder if ol' Steve really believes the Infinity sub outperforms the Hsu VTF-2, a sub he reviewed for Audio magazine.

"Looks Great! Sounds Better!" on
Summary: Picked it up OBR for $199. Works seamlessly with my hodge-podge HT system -- Yamaha 5490, ADS L810s, JBL SCII, Klipsch RS3IIs.

"Good but not the best for the price" on
Summary: I am not sure what sub catagory the reviewers here are looking at. But I must say that for 500.00US$ this can not compare what so ever to an audiophile quality sub. M&K75 in my opinion stand head and shoulders over Infinity. Check out M&Ksound.com. Some will say "the Infinity has a 250watt amp where the M&K only has 75wat amp." Well take a wild guess why.. The amp on the M&K is a better amp through and through. I do not mean to say the Infinity is a bad sub, on the contrary I think it is probably one of the best "mainstream" subs out there. However with a little research you can find full audiophile equipment that will outlast and outperform it in the 500.00 price range
