"Not Bad, but could be better"
Pros: Nice sound to movie watching
Cons: Boomy just a bit for music
Summary: I found this baby at a pawnshop for a good price and was very pleased once I got it set up. It was kinda hard to get the levels set to the proper positions. There was no instruction manual so I had to go to the Klipsch web site to down load one. Once I was able to set it correctly concidering the fact that I did not have a sound meter, this sub sounded pretty good. Out side of some better subs like SVS and some of the others, this sub is very good. I have the subs cross over set to 80db and the level set to about 12 with the phase set to 0. My mains are Paradigm Monitors 7's witch are set to small and my rears are Klipsch towers set to small aswell. I have my cross over on my Marantz reciever set to 80db's aswell. This baby does sound good. The only problem is that when I play music the sub can be a bit boomy. But I can fix that small problem with my remote control by turning down the bass just a bit. Not a bad sub. I would have given this sub a 8 rating but that rating says it is a excellent sub, and I could not do it because of the boominess with the music.
