"Luckily it is easy to take appart as it was to install."
Pros: Easy setup, large sound from TV input sources such as the DVD player and Xbox.
Cons: TV/cable sounded very weak, no 'surround effect', only DVD-audio sounds decent.

"Agree with "expectations" and similar reviews"
Pros: Solid system from the box to ease of use, nice simple interface, very 'analog'
Cons: Solid but behind times with features (maybe that is their charter?). The 'remote-control' effort (yet universal remote?) apears to be an attempt to try and fill in the external digital void.

"Excellent system: not a 5.1 surround though!"
Pros: Really simple 'plug and play' solution, IDEAL for small lounges. The CineMate is a high quality, well balanced, warm, 'enveloping', detailed and accurate sounding Home Theatre solution
Cons: It is what it is.. only a simple RCA input - designed to feed direct from modern TVs ideally (that way you can feed multiple devices in to the TV, and the Cinemate will take the sound direct from the TV)- There are no configuration or setting options
