Manufacturer description
You've never heard sound this big from a home theater surround system so small. Designed to be fashionable, yet engineered to deliver sound quality unheard of in speakers twice their size. It's movie picture magic! Five precisely balanced, compact speakers with a sound so big they can take you from being a simple spectator to a featured performer. Sound that effortlessly moves from one speaker to another and you won't crumble at the sound of the price. A "Take 1" center channel speaker combined with two pairs of "Take 2" satellites gives you the complete "Take 5" system. Toss in an Energy ES-8 or ES-10 MOSFET powered subwoofer and treat yourself to the ultimate in full range performance from one of the smallest systems ever. “Take 1" is a compact center channel speaker that delivers excellent sound quality, timbre matched to the "Take 2" satellites for perfect "cinescape" sound reproduction. Its 3/4" aluminum Hyperdome tweeter is combined with dual carbon graphite long throw woofers to provide maximum output in a deep, wide soundstage. Combine this with high power handling and the result is an unparalleled combination of wide dispersion and low distortion. The "Take 1" is fully shielded for placement on or near any TV monitor. Or you can use the easy keyway wall hanging bracket. The rigid cabinet is made of solid wood and the molded Spherex cabinet back features high quality 5-way binding posts. Take it anywhere. Its black high gloss finish and compact size make it almost disappear. Take 2" is a compact speaker featuring the Energy 3/4" aluminum Hyperdome tweeter and a carbon graphite long-throw woofer housed in an injection molded front baffle made of Spherex and solid wood cabinet for minimum distortion. Both the tweeter and woofer are magnetically shielded to eliminate interference with the TV picture. Used with Energy powered subwoofers "Take 2" speakers offer unmatched sonic performance as main speakers or as rear surrounds. The molded cabinet back features high quality 5-way binding posts and a keyway for easy mounting to a wall, making it ideal for surround sound. Or use the optional custom HT-series metal stands. So, take one "Take 1" as center channel, take two "Take 2" as main satellites and take two more "Take 2" as rear surrounds. Now you have it: the complete "Take 5" Home Theater System.
