"Pull the trigger -- this is what you need" on by jamesensor40

Pros: PRICE, sound, looks, everything you need.

    Cons: no subwoofer

Summary: I searched for a long time for a set of surround speakers to hook up to my system (Onkyo 606, sony blu-ray, LCD, turntable, ipod, CD, wii). I wanted a good set that would last and do movies and music equally well. I could not be more impressed with these fluance speakers -- I mean $200 for a set that sounds better than my friend's high end audio speakers is amazing. Plus, fluance has an ebay store, so you may be able to get them for cheaper in an auction (like i did!).

There is no subwoofer included, but I don't think that's a draw back at all. It produces fine bass for my purposes as I live in a small one bedroom condo. Could there be a bit more bass? sure, but I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Even my girlfriend commented on how amazing these sound and they won her over despite their large size. THANKS FOR THE RECOMMENDATION CNET, and thanks to fluance for making awesome audio available to those without thousands to spend!

If you'r elike me, you research products for months, looking at every product available and for thousands of reviews. These fluance speakers are the real deal. Just pull the trigger and do it. You will not be dissappointed.

"Fluance AVHTB+ Even Better Now than Befoore" on

Pros: I recently received my AVHTB PLUS version! WOW . . . sound is much better than other stuff I've owned in the past and all 5 speakers have gold plated banana plug connectors and the fronts even have floor spikes . . . this is new to the AVHTB and well wort

Cons: None at all I love my new stuff . . . my home theater system is now the favorite thing I own!

"Excellent speaker system!!!" on by John_NC

    Pros: Solid construction, solid performance!

    Cons: None, so far.

Summary: I replaced a "top of the line" Sony mini-speaker system with this system. I was expecting a big improvement, just going from a mini system to a large system, but the difference was much more than I expected. I have finally achieved the movie theater type sound I was looking for without breaking open my piggy bank. Thanks Fluance.

"Great value; up to date technology" on

Pros: well designed and well finished. For a starter system or, as I am using it, for my bedroom, this Fluance package sounds great for DVD/5.1 and very good for music once broken in.

Cons: I found the center channel speaker quite bright initially. After a couple of weeks, I found that it settled down, but I would still suggest toning down how forward it is

"Very well built for the money!" on

Pros: This system performs very well. But I would recommend the active servo subwoofer that Fluance offers WOW! You can't beat the price.
