Pros Very solid sounding speakers, great for movies and video games!
Canadian speaker company, with GREAT customer service, like dealing with a small independent store from the old days
Cons No Sub included -
Summary If you need a step up from the home theater in a box, you can't beat the price and sound of these speakers!
Pros very clean - with classical music - or anything else - can be placed to sound great. The beech finished enclosures look good, too.
Cons nothing more than other good loudspeakers
Summary Bought these after using many other high end speakers. They are very clean sounding. I'm using an Emotiva control unit with Emotiva 5-channel power amp (200 watts rms/channel) in bi-wired setup. I wasn't excited about these speakers until I recalled that the best listening area was in a square behind a square equal to the speaker separation distance on each side. They are set up for least reflection from the sides (including tables and equipment) and they are about 2 ft from the wall behind them. I'm using crossovers of 60 HZ for the mains and subwoofer, and 140 HZ for the center and surrounds. The lost bass from the center and surrounds isn't audible to me. I checked with Fluance for info about the woofers in the fronts and they could only tell me that there are two. The two woofers in the towers are each in its own subenclosure and each with its own port, which leads me to believe that each is tuned to produce a different band than the other. Together they do a great job, and if you have the patience to set them up properly, you'll find that they yield great definition, even with a full symphony orchestra. Careful placement and careful selection of crossover frequencies will provide exemplary performance. My next speakers will be Aerials (at $27,000 for the set, this will probably be in the next life). Cheers, and enjoy.I received these, in excellent condition, about 5 days after I ordered them. One floor spike was missing and Fluance sent a replacement spike immediately after I called them.

Pros Amazing sound in any kind of classical music material, elegant design
Cons Hi demand for FLUANCE speakers resulted in frequent "OUT OF STOCK" message.
Summary Completely satisfied with both the quality of product and customer service level. I was looking for something not too expensive for my SECOND ZONE, and I was quiet suspicious about ordering the product, I've never heard before. So I did it only because the manufacturer guaranteed "money back option", in case I am not satisfied with the quality. What can I say now... The quality is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Buying a product of the same quality from a well known brand, (which is Klipsh_RF-82 in my case) I had to pay $550 for each speaker, while I paid only $400 (the shipping included) for the set of 5 really exellent speakers. Even my friends-musicians, who were suspicious about the quality of speakers for $300, had to confess that the FLUANCE main pair sounds more natural than Klipsch. Moreover, recently I had a chance to compare my FLUANCE main pair (the floorstanding speakers) with my favorite B&W 804S ($4400). The sound in reproducing classical music (simphonic orchestra and vocal) was similar! This resulted in my final decision to replace the Klisch pair with FLUANCE FLV-10 as well. Becides, I'd like to say that FLUANCE speakers are really beautiful.Sorry for mistyping. The model I am going to order is FLUANCE SV-10
I would strongly recommend FLUANCE SX-HTB especially to those, who prefer classical music.

Pros Great sounding speakers. I read a review once that said they rival speakers that cost 800 to 1000 and they really do. Really good sound range.
Cons Price does not include subwoofer as noted, so just be mindful to add another $100 to $150 for low cost subwoofer in comparing this package to many other packages you'd find.
Pros Price, sound quality, performance, and their quality.
Cons None really.
Summary I bought the upgraded Fluance speakers last year and have been using them for over a year now. I am still impressed with them and think they are well worth the money. Having plenty of expertise in the car audio field, and haven spent lots of money on speakers in the past. These guys sound fantastic for the money. In fact, these speakers have blown away some top notch older speakers like some Macintosh's. If you want high quality sound on a budget price, get them. You won't be dissapointed. You defintely would have to spend a lot more money to qet equivalent quality. I plan on purchasing a Fluance subwoofer to complement the system based on my happiness with their products.
