These drivers are housed in a beautifully finished, ported cabinet made of solid hardwood. At ¾-inch thick, the solid wood walls of this cabinet virtually eliminate measurable wall resonance, are much more rigid and acoustically dead than the MDF particleboard commonly used to build speaker cabinets. These cabinets are further dampened by the inclusion of internal bracing and acoustic damping material inside the cabinet to eliminate high-frequency reflection. The result is a truly beautiful speaker, capable of astoundingly accurate sound reproduction, at volumes uncharacteristic of a speaker its size. Review: Afte spending two months researching for speakers I decided to get the Aperion. I've been using the speakers for a year already and I love it. They sound and look great. Also, customer support is very helpful and friendly, the best I've dealt with.

stop looking - buy these speakers

Review: These are incredible speakers and an incredible buy!! I was looking for speakers to pair with my Sony STR-DA3ES reciever for an outdoor event with 150+ people. Every salesperson I spoke to (before reading these reviews and talking with Aperion) said that I could not get bookshelf speakers to produce the power and sound I needed. Well, they are a bunch of fools! When I spoke to Aperion, they said that these speakers could handle it. And they sure did - everyone said the system sounded great and danced late into the night! Plus, these speakers are a bargin when compared to other speakers with less output. Everyone at Aperion was extremely friendly and helpful - a real pleasure to work with and most refreshing in today's marketplace. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical about buying speakers without hearing them first, but today I am a believer. And, you don't win friends with salad.

Review: I bought the 7.1 system teamed with the Onkyo DS898 receiver. Simply awesome. Ya know, I think I've had as many compliments on the beautiful speaker enclosures as I have on the great sound. More companies should emulate Aperion's customer service. There isn't one thing to complain about---period. This was probably one of my best purchases ever...from order to final delivery.

Great Look, even better Sound

Review: Excellent all around, these are beautiful yet compact satellites. Earth shaking yet musical 12 inch subwoofer is a sharp looking piece of furniture in its own right. You will not want to hide it. The system is equally great for music AND home theater. The only thing better than the speakers themselves is the customer service. Very quick to respond, and they treat you like you deserve to be treated. Don't like them? Send them back for free. What else could you ask for in a company?

Review: The Asperion Audio 5.1 is a truly amazing value! The sub wolfer alone is worth the price of the system. I liked the system because of its incredible imaging and neutral sound. I guess I was most impressed by the detail in the bass frequencies. At 250 watts and 75 lbs, it ain't light! The service was excellent and even though I called very late in the afternoon the product was shipped that same day! Amazing.

Review: Each speaker is finished in beautiful, rich cherry wood. The sound is just as lush as the finish. DiAural is very smooth, rendering vocals, strings, horns, guitars.. everything sounding so rich and detailed!

Great Quality, Great Customer Service

Review: I purchased these speakers after much online research and demo-ing of other speakers. I was looking for a complete 5.1 system and other speakers I considered were Klipsch & Paradigm to name a couple. I figured with Edge Audio's gracious return policy, I had nothing to lose. I initially ordered the speaker set with the 8 inch sub, however, at the time of ordering, the sub was on back order so I only recieved the surround sound speakers. After talking with customer service, I decided to have them send me the 12 in sub since they had that in stock, but there was some mix up in the processing and my order was delayed a couple of days. However, all throughout the process, customer service was always courteous and patient, they answered all my questions, and they truly made me feel like a valued customer (thanks Ivy!). They even went the extra mile and made sure the delay did not cause any dissatisfaction, and I can honestly say they did a great job. Once my speaker set was complete (with the sub), I was impressed with the quality of the speakers. I have rarely seen speakers of this quality within this price range. Though the surround sound speakers are relatively small, they are heavy due to the solid planks of wood they used to build these puppies (Not veneer like most other brands!). You can even smell the varnish when you first pull them out of the box! The finish is outstanding, smooth to the touch, I am very impressed with the quality. After hooking them up to my system, I was equally impressed with the sound quality as I was with the build quality. The surrounds seamlessly blend in with the sub and the fidelity is true. The only aspect of the system that I wish was different is with the size of the 12 in sub. It is pretty big, and unless you live in a mansion, you'd be hard pressed to place it discreetly in your room somewhere. The size is comparable to a small end table and I nearly broke my back carrying it upstairs to my room... Overall, I am very satisfied with these speakers. Usually, the actual product you buy or order is less or at the same level of what you'd expected. These speakers are the exception. They were more than I'd imagined them to be, and expected. They are great!

Review: COMPARED WITH POLK, ENERGY 5'S, BOSE 10 & 15, JBL AND INFINITY. NONE COULD MATCH THE FLEXIBILITY THIS 5.1 SYSTEM PROVIDED FOR BOTH MUSIC AND HOME THEATRE. THE APPEARENCE AND SETUP FLEXIBILITY ARE A 10++ (I GOT THE CHERRY). THE SERVICE AND HELP FROM EDGE IS TOP NOTCH AS IS THEIR 30 DAY NO HASSEL BACKING. IF YOU LISTEN TO ALOT OF HEAVY BASS (LIKE CAR AUDIO) GET THE 12" SUB...OTHERWISE THE 8" WILL DO EVERYTHING YOU NEED. MY YAMAHA VX800 NEVER SOUNDED SO GOOD.

Review: I'd done some online research and liked what I saw and heard about this brand and bought the L, R, Center and 12 inch Sub through Amazon. I've never seen speakers that were so carefully and beautifully packaged. I bought the cherry finish and they are stunningly finished and have an awsome finish. The sound is detailed and articulate at all sound levels. In fact, you should be warned, that these speakers will play loud. They are absolutely smooth. Unlike many other speakers I've owned, I don't find myself see-sawing up and down on the volume control during a movie or CD. They are not harsh at high SPL's. In fact I probably listen to them louder than any of my previous speakers. My advice: Get 'em!
