"Excellent, when matched with the right amplifier" on by aretzios
Pros: Excellent sound, small size, attractive design
Cons: Expensive, Difficulty mounting
Summary: These are really excellent speakers, albeit not cheap. Highly recommended, if one has a good amplifier. The mounts and the stands available are not condusive to an easy installation, so do get an expert to do this.

"Sounds great - warning about color of sub" on by scottcunning
Pros: Excellent sound, classy style
Cons: Getting the sub in silver can be tricky
Summary: Wanted to write to point out something that is slightly misleading in the way Kef is marketing this system in the U.S. and the cnet review, which states that the sub is available in black or silver. In the U.S., Kef sells the system with the PSW 2150, a sub that is only available in a black finish. In Europe, it is sold with the PSW2010, a sub that is available in Black or Silver.
It is possible to get the 2010 in the U.S. but you have to specifically ask for that sub. Simply stating you want the system in silver is not enough. Many retailers won't even know what you are talking about. I had just ordered a system, when it shipped, I got the black sub. The retailer told me that was the only sub available. I had to show him the website and call Kef America. That is where I learned of the difference in marketing to the U.S. and European sector (the Kef America portion of the website does state that the sub is available only in black, but only if you click on the technical specs of the subwoofer; otherwise it still shows multiple pictures of the sub in silver). I was told I could get the 2010 but that I should have requested it specifically. Of course, there was nothing to indicate to me that I did anything other than that when I said I wanted the system in silver. Long story short, I shipped the 2150 back to Kef and received a 2010. But we are still arguing over who should pay the shipping costs.
If you order one of these systems, specifically tell the retailer that you want the PSW2010 in silver. They may tell you they don't carry that. Tell them that it is available as an option and that they should call Kef America to confirm. -
"Bought this set in Malaysia a year ago and it works and SOUNDS excellent" on by concepi
Pros: Great quality for surround sound, acceptable for HIFI stereo
Cons: The sub broke once (short circuit but KEF replaced it no questions asked)
Summary: This systems sells in Asia for about usd 1,400 and is worth every penny. Try not to wall mount it as that negatively affects sound depth. Go for the stands.

"Defective paint on the black eggs & sub ain't so great." on by ianmart
Pros: Sound and appearance.
Cons: Paint on the black eggs & mediocure quality sub.
Summary: Beware of the black eggs. They had a defective paint on them which made the eggs sticky after some time. I am currently in the process of removing the paint on mine with acetone. There is an entire blog dedicated to this and yet, apparently the company refused to acknowledge this as a problem. In addition, I have had the sub repaired about 3 times. Otherwise, the sound quality seems excellent.
