"Best 2.1 system ever"
Pros: Audiophile like sound
Cons: It will make your bose sounddock sound like the soundcrock
Summary: I'm not sure why the other reviewer (Priaptor) said it was ?tubby.? Sounds like he demo'ed the system in the Apple store after someone had turned the bass to max and left it there on a bass heavy song. He would have noticed that the bass was strong, powerful and undistorted. By default the bass is actually laid back quite a bit, and the speakers are forward sounding. They product midrange that excels in its class, and the system?s sound quality can not be matched by any other $400 2.1 system.
I think these people need to buy the system before writing up these reviews AND audition other systems (like Cambridge Soundworks or Swans audio) that could be potential competitors. Simply demoing an audio system in the store does not quality someone to write a review. It only qualifies them to buy it for themselves, and in some cases such as Priaptor's, it qualifies their actually competence to operate the system? or not. It?s obvious the guy had no idea how to adjust the bass.
Klipsch makes outstanding speakers, they always have and always will and are regarded highly among audiophiles, and the iFi is no exception!
