"Great sound for the size and money" on by ecollado
Pros: sleek design, clear sound, easy hookup
Cons: highs could be too bright sometimes
Summary: I purchased these on sale several weeks ago and feel I got a great deal. These speakers have a great design that is easy to integrate into most home theater systems. I hooked them up to an Onkyo tx-sr603x and the sound is amazing. Very clean highs, and sufficient bass for movies and music. If you're expecting to get the same sound for music as w/ tower speakers then stay away from these, but if you have an average sized room, and know how to play around w/ your receiver's equalizer, these will probably be good enough. They are very loud, and clear even at high volumes. I've watched over a dozen movies w/ these already and I keep getting amazed at how good they sound. The satellites are clear and bright, and the bass rumbles my entire house. I guarantee that if you have a good receiver, and the patience to set the system up right, you'll be more than happy. Enjoy

"Great Product for the Price" on by ensquares
Pros: Stylish satellites, Warm Sound, good for music and movies
Cons: Speakers not as compact as Bose AM6
Summary: Speaker System: Polk Audio RM6800
Reciver: Onkyo TX-SR503
TV: Sony 30HS420
-Wonderful set of satellite speakers, Nice and stylish
- Warm sound
- Great for music and movies
Purchased the Bose AM6. Disliked the quality of music, had a flat sound to it. The Polks have a fuller and warmer sounds making it an alround player for both music and movies. -
"Great value." on by dwarnock
Pros: Rich sound from small speakers
Cons: none for the money
Summary: First, I am not an audiophile so maybe not as picky as some. I replaced a set of 4 foot tower speakers with these. They sound better. I was worried that a 65 watt sub wouldn't have any punch, but it does. I had made a DVD of a local fireworks display and the booms were like being there, vibrate your chest. The construction is first rate, made from cast and machined aluminum. No vibrations here. I bought these after reading the CNET reviews. They were right on. Yes, you can buy better speakers than these, but you will have to pay a lot more. I got these for $540. To move up you'd be way over a grand.
