"This system is great for those who like simplicity without the caos of a home theater system."
Pros: Small sleek design. Automated Calibration Process. Simple, easy to use.
Cons: Limited inputs.
Summary: Something you might want to consider while looking for a home theater system is the amount of inputs and what types of inputs they offer. As for those of you that have the whole dvd/cd/md/turntable/tape/etc, this is something you might want to steer away from. This is because; well as for the YSP-800 it has only a few inputs to offer. I don?t really deem this to be a con, but it is something to be considered. If you are looking for a little something more you might also want to take a look at the YSP-1000.
The YSP-800 itself is a great unit. It takes away from the whole setting up a home theater system; having to drill holes through the wall, feed wire into the ceiling, wire around your hardwood floor, underneath your carpeting, etc. This unit is deprived of wiring (good attribute.) It eliminates having to use any wiring at all and also the confusion of buying wiring. All it needs is a simple audio connection from your DVD player, a wall outlet and your all set. The automatic calibration process is as simple as pushing a few buttons and stepping away for a minute or so.
